Breaking News! Midnight Purple RZ34 has arrived

Yeah they won't flood the market as the midnight purple is only available as a limited special edition not a normal color for any trim
. It's a Z32 tribute edition

10-4, just catching it's a Z32 tribute (you said that earlier), not just a tribute color. Heritage Ed. a nod to the S30 and now a nod to the Z32. Good choices on both!

I think the Midnight Purple Z isn't going to be one that sees dealer discounts, unless they flood the market with them. I would be curious to know what their plan is for the ratio of MT and AT. I feel like the nostalgia/heritage aspect of it would shift heavily toward MT buyers.

Regardless, this is one of those colors you have to see in person to really judge. I assume I'd like it more in person than in pics. Based on the number of RZ34's I've seen in the wild (1) I may not see midnight purple for quite some time.

One of my favorites is Athens Blue (G35/G37...?). Not sure about that color on a Z, but it's a great shifty color in person.

They need to figure something out considering they were overpriced for the longest time and just barely began to drop the retail pricing ?

Not going to happen, but as the rear end is pretty much there, I'd love to see them pull off a Z32 inspired front clip with Z31 style popup headlights.

This is not for the US Market. It's a Japan-exclusive color.

it was exclusive for the 2025 model year as the US just got bayside blue. but what happened was this color wasnt released in Japan until just this week. The 2025 model year in the US is a short one and 2026 will be out this fall with the special edition ( more limited than the heritage it seems)

so what ended up happening is since the color is a late 2025 model introduction for japan and the US gets a earlier than usual 2026 its gonna seem like the color is available for both markets within a few months of each other when its really 2 different model years.

its the same as how the orange was but just seems different at the different model years japan vs US sync up differently this time

I think this special edition is gonna be shown off during an event in nashville first week of september. I believe its just the color and a decal package and maybe somthing for the interior. havent heard about wheels or anything.

I have the blue interior, was wondering what a MP wrap would look like, now I know. I will say, locally even the heritage saw some discounts, but I’m in Pennsylvania and weather/market may be a factor. I arrived at the dealership the day the heritage came off the truck, told them “let’s deal now before you wash it” only to realize midway through it was an automatic. So they saw my enthusiasm/stupidity and offered a 2024 performance trim manual for about $45k, and I accepted. It had been on the lot over half a year at that point if I recall. Love the Midnight Purple, but not necessarily loving it with the blue interior…

Most likely correct on pricing, being only special paint and some decors. The heritage has the special bumper which I’m not too fond of anyway. Midnight Purple is an awesome hue though! Worth the extra cost, wonder if more than the $895 like other paint options.

I really wish Nissan would develop a software update for the digital gauge cluster that would allow the gauges to be displayed as the older generations of Zs. Kinda like the mustang. The 280ZX and Z31 had optional digital clusters, I think that would be awesome, along with all the old analog versions
