Local dealership didn’t have what I was looking for so I ended up traveling a bit. Don’t like the local dealership, but I’ve only dealt with the service dept.

Had worked a deal with another dealership. Wasn’t going to sign anything before I saw the car, and that one sold 8 days before I planned to go there and buy, assuming all was as expected. I sent the paperwork from the first dealer to the one I ended up purchasing from. They had one that was identical. Same MSRP. Same options. They matched the first dealerships offer to the penny. Still traveled that same planned day and bought a Z, just from a different dealership. Biggest gripe was I got the runaround for 5 weeks as they wouldn’t send my new registration (tag transfer).

Nothing terrible with the one I purchased from, but if I had to sum it up I’d say “They did the bare minimum.”
Reading the part about the tag made me realize I'd completely forgotten that they took about two months to get me my actual tag. I legitimately had to call them twice to get two separate temp tags sent out to me because whatever third party service they used was anything but prompt.

I had a plasant - good experience overall. Smooth purchase. I bought my car from a different dealership than the one I put a deposit with in March 2022.

I saw my car in transit and called the dealer to see what they'd ask for it. They told me $10k above MSRP, so I said thank you. After the call, the salesman who ended up selling me the car texts and calls me, sends me videos when it's being brought off the truck "your Z is here." I told him I won't pay above MSRP. They ask me "is this a deal for today" blah blah blah. 3 days later I go to look at it, 15 minutes of back and forth on the APR - I call a credit union, so they matched that rate. Sign paperwork, come back to pick it up, they rinse/wash it. Done. 1 Free Oil Change, they set me up on the mobile app, all that good stuff. Finance was cool, very negotiable but I ended by not paying for any of the protection or plans as this is a third car. It's newly built dealership that they just moved into from their old building, nice inside, they sell many Z's and GT-R's, so they know how to work.

The dealer who I placed my deposit with refunded my deposit after 2 years and 2 months. I kept the receipt. They were trying to swap/trade for my car but it didn't work out. They located a similar spec in another state but wanted $5k markup + $1k to transport, so I said no thanks. They gave me their blessing to buy from the other dealership. When I went to get my deposit, they insisted "it's not possible to get a manual Z at MSRP, especially a Blue one." I told them, it is possible, I just did it yesterday.

Overall both experiences were good. I wish the initial dealer actually ordered my car instead of waiting for a random allocation. I can definitely see the differences.

I was reasonably happy with my experience, other than the long wait which wasn't the dealer's issue.
Ordered October 2022, was given a test drive of an automatic they had in the showroom at the time, which helped me decide on spec. Salesman was quite familiar with the vehicle and warned me of the long lead time for delivery. I received updates via the dealership when Nissan issued them. Mid 2023 I received an email from the dealer principle apologising for the delay. When it arrived in November 2023 it was prepped and delivered in 5 days. At delivery I received a thorough intro to the car, finance options etc from the original salesperson I dealt with. I didn't get any attitude when I went with my own finance option. I didn't have to chase them for a price reduction as a result of a change in govt taxes. Overall they did the job they were supposed to, no complaints at my end.

Luckily I never had any of the sales games for the most part, I did my negotiating online, they weren't getting me in there without an OTD price. My Seiran blue didn't have a markup on it, thankfully. But the more I hear about other experiences like getting setup on the app, etc, just makes me think I had a very hands off experience from day one. Not that I didn't get the app figured out on my own.

All in all ,not a bad experience. Found the car at a dealer in the LA area via the internet. It was quite hard to find the silver/ black top combination I wanted. Got it 2K under sticker and pushed a bit and they threw in the mats. Flew down and drove it home to the bay area. The only negative thing is, I wished I waited a couple of months as I probably could have saved at least a couple of grand as prices dropped especially out of state.

Yeah, I bought right at the end of the whole pricing fiasco. I paid MSRP, (a little over due to actual accessory add ons, but my car had virtually every factory option you could get, not dealer installed, which was a huge plus for me.) If I'd have waited I'd have likely gotten one cheaper, but I also likely wouldn't have gotten a Seiran Blue with blue interior, either.

My experience was mediocre or maybe below average. Better experience at my local Toyota and Lexus dealer, but Lexus is also usually better than a lot of other luxury dealers in comparison, in my opinion.

I think Nissans problem is that they sell pretty average to mediocre cars and one sports car, so the customer service just reflects that. Toyota was miles better, and Mazda has always been solid.

I wasn't expecting them to make me breakfast, but for dropping the amount of money I did, some sort of effort would have been nice.

I'm one of those people that would love to buy another Nissan z and a GTR but they have priced it so high on both vehicles that even if the service is mediocre, I was willing to accept. This is not to mention huge ADMs on the GTR on top of the high price. They've also made countless foolish decisions such as skipping out on the LSD on the sport version of the Z.

Nissan and Infiniti can be great brands and they have so much potential especially when back in the day the G35 and G37 sedan and coupe or so popular along with their SUVs, but they have lost their ways for whatever reason.

Same goes with Acura, they had so much potential but have lost their way as well for whatever reason.

Profits and losses are very and extremely important to focus on but they need to put their head in the game and think like car enthusiasts sometimes and in certain respects.

I had a great experience at a dealer near me. The car I originally purchased had a transmission issue develop right after I got it home (50 miles). I called the dealer and they told me to bring the car back the following morning. They ran it through diagnostics and called me the next morning and said they were buying the car back. The Salesman, Sales Manager, Finance and even the General Manager bent over backwards finding me the replacement car I wanted. They've called me several times since to see how everything was going.

Pretty much my exact experience but replace "Serian Blue with blue interior" with "Rosewood."

When I purchased my Z i was absolutely shocked and disgusted at the shit they tried to pull on me in finance. I caught them when i was signing the finance papers. Tried taking me from 72 months to 84 without me knowing. I was ready to walk in an instant. They basically had to comp the warranties I agreed to initially pay for and had to use a 'apr coupon' to get me down a percentage point to get me back to 72 months (which was initially what I agreed to). Other than this vehicle, i don't see myself doing business at a Nissan dealership ever again. The tactics and true scumbag move in finance absolutely lost my trust. I see why the company is failing, their dealers are a terrible representation of the company. I've bought Hondas my entire life and the experience from their dealers and service department in comparison is night and day.

Very pleasant experience. My salesman is a force of nature who drives an 800 hp tuned Nismo. We negotiated over the phone and there were no surprises. I probably paid a little more than i should have but I got a new Performance, right color and only 31 miles on the odo. I have maintained a friendship with the salesman despite the fact that I am old news to the dealership. I know the car will be broken in judiciously and will enjoy it for years. I had to drive 130 miles to the dealership but the trip was worth it.

Honestly, mine was great. Besides them selling the car 9k below MSRP, the staff was friendly and helpful. The finance guy was also not pushy at all and I didn’t purchase any addons. The sales girl also drove the car an hour to meet me at my local DMV to transfer the registration.

Dealership was Ron Bouchard Nissan in Lancaster MA.

I had spent all that winter drooling at pictures of the Z online, and when spring came I checked my local dealer's website and found they had one in their showroom.

I explained to the salesperson that I was long-time Z fan, missed my 350Z, and was really interested in the new Z. I asked him if I could sit in the one in the showroom and he said no problem. We had a lengthy discussion about the car and it was pretty obvious I knew a lot more about the Z than the salesman. I said I liked it a lot even though it was black and an automatic and said we need to talk about getting me one in Rosewood or Gun Metallic with a manual. He said he was sure I'd like the auto more and it would be "easier for me to drive." He offered a test drive right there, and there was still snow and a boatload of salt on the road and I declined. (WTH are they thinking, letting people drive pricey sports cars in slushy salt?)

About this time, the sales manager appeared and I repeated my inquiry about getting a different color with a manual, and he just laughed and said we'll get back to you on that. Never heard from them again.

Two weeks later, I saw online that another dealer about an hour away had a Rosewood with 6MT and the notation "incoming." I called them up and asked about the car and if it was spoken for. They said they expected it the next week and no one had a deposit on it, so I gave them one over the phone. When the car arrived, I went down to see it and do a test drive, and the salespeople were very helpful and everything went smoothly.

I've been back to the first dealer a couple of times since then, once to have the ANC/ASE turned off and once to pick up parts. The parts guy was very helpful. The service manager was even more condescending and sexist than the salespeople there. I parked where I could be sure the salespeople saw not only my Rosewood Z but my Evora on the day I picked up some parts. Easier to drive, my ass. You guys think your dealer treats you like crap, you should try buying a car as a woman.
