FYI - I didn’t have to modify anything. I get the impression the instructions are the same for all vehicles that they sell dampers for but reading about modifying plastic or potential “hood bulging“ was not on my bingo card.Do you happen to have a picture/pdf of the instructions? I'm considering pulling the trigger on this for my Seiran Blue, but I don't want to have to notch or clearance anything.
What did you mean by the brackets bent? The ones on the car or the ones that came with the hood struts?
The brackets that came with the struts that attach to your hood are the ones I’m referring to. The end that holds the strut attachment is what bent almost immediately moreso on the driver side. The struts were very stiff on the first close but bracket went from a 90 degree angle to closer to 115 degrees. I was able to bend it back with a pair of pliers and a cloth but it was still somewhat unnerving.
