If I’m reading this right, this forum helped talk someone OUT of buying a Z. Crazy.

His 2nd post on this thread started with he drove one and was “quite disappointed.” As we say in the Florida panhandle, That ain’t got nothing to do with us.

I think we were up front and honest. Try to get that elsewhere. Ask a Hummer EV driver how he likes it. He’ll go to town on how great it is. Then walk out and drive his Silverado home…because his Hummer’s been sitting at the dealership for the past 5 months…because even GM themselves can’t fix it.

Regardless of the truth of the whole thing, he wasn’t going to buy one. Not sure how it works down there, they do have to walk around upside down…you know, Geography and stuff…but I find it odd for someone to place an order for an automobile, yet to be driven, seen in the flesh, not even produced yet and only CG images at this point, then scour the internet asking people if you’re making the right decision.

Neither us nor Nissan themselves are going to please everyone. Just be glad you, me and others here are on the Pleased list.

I have been to Australia, love the people and land lol jokes aside I have come to the conclusion that some guys spend their time on forums being trolls for the thrill.

I drove a STD 2025 Z that my dealer provided.
It was a very nice car , but yes i was disappointed in some aspects. My dealer said the NISMO was quite a step up from the STD and it addressed the niggles i had with the STD model.

I put a deposit down for the 2026 NISMO and an order in the system. I had some concerns with the VR30DDTT , enough for me to reconsider the purchase.
My dealer refunded me the deposit ( law here in Aus) and i cancelled the order which in any case still had an unknown ETA for the 2026 model.

I still think the current Z is a great car.... but just not something i was 100% happy with.. fair enough ??

Does this make me a "Troll"

I am NOT trying to offend anybody..

Cannot argue a 3/S! You'll find me bidding on them occasionally on BaT... Actually won one this fall but the deadbeat seller backed out! The pinnacle era for JDM sports cars.

No Worries ... Sorry
Thanks..

Over here the term "Toy" is often used to reference an inferior version of something.. ie...Not the real thing..
Toy on our side of the earth refers to buying something that you don't actually "need", but bought it because it's fun to play with and enjoy playing with it. Every car I own is a toy. For actual transportation, I steal one of my wife's cars, lol

You are not completely wrong though, because if we said "it's like a toy", depending on context, we also mean that it is inferior quality, disposable, made cheaply, etc.

So, enjoy your new toy! (meant in the best way possible). The GRC is an awesome car, and you will definitely enjoy it. Plus, it's a lot more practical than the Z, so essentially, it's less of a toy than the Z. It can be viewed as a really fun form of transportation!
