Hi,
After years of saving up, I finally got enough to get my own Z. However, maybe it's kinda late, but I just realized that the new 2027 Z is having an update on exterior appearance.

I really like the 2027 new look, but I don't want to wait for another year and pay the potential high markup. Currently I see the price of used nismo is tanking in my area. So I figured I mind just get a nismo.

However, I'm just wondering other than the MT option, wireless charging for 2027 nismo, will there be other exterior updates to it?

OR

Should I get the heritage edition? I really like that paint and the wheel, and I didn't see markup for my local dealership.

or should I wait another year? Or getting a current performance?

And this Z is most likely to be my new daily drive and I mind hit the track every once in a while?

BTW: Will the suspension upgrade be major?

The Heritage editions are completely cosmetic, so if that's the look/color you like best, then absolutely go that route. Especially if you're happy with the pricing at your dealership, then it seems like a good path to take.

2027 availability & pricing are a bit of an unknown at the moment... I'm personally a big fan of enjoying things now and getting them when you're able. It's like people who are always worried about the next greatest phone coming out... So much FOMO going on they never actually get to enjoy anything!

The suspension upgrade is going to be fairly minor as its just a change in shock sizing. Suspension is one of the easier things to modify if & when you decide to modify the car.

My $0.02 is A, B or C. Don’t wait another year.
If you want one now, and have the ability to get it now, then do it.
Youā€˜re only on this earth for so many years, and you shouldn’t burn a whole year without something you really want, and is attainable.
You won’t regret it.

I'll be really direct and will hurt some peoples feelings here...

I wouldn't touch a Z besides the Nismo variant with a stick!

I'd rather get a second hand M2C F87, M3 E92 or a GR Supra than any Z without the Nismo badge.

PS: Relax it's just my opinion.

I debated the Nismo quite a bit when I made my purchase...but I really wanted the manual transmission and the blue interior. With my car being a daily driver, I decided that the Nismo wasn't really the best choice for me...I also don't love the side skirts or rear bumper on the Nismo.

With the money I saved by opting for the Performance model, I addressed some of the commonly known issues with the VR30: I added the CZP heat exchanger, the CZP oil cooler, and the CZP lower oil pan. To address the suspension I added some sway bars (went with Stillen) and ugraded the wheels and tires, at the moment I'm pretty pleased with just that but may do more in the future. I also did a Nismo front bumper swap and full front PPF, as well as PPF on the A-pillars, B-pillars, black roof and hatch.

My suggestion is to make a pros and cons list or "must haves / wants / can live without" and make your decision based off of what checks the most boxes for you!

All great points. I’ve had more cars than I can remember over the decades. I always favored a MT in a sports car, but went with the AT and also decided the Sport was more what I was looking for at this point in my life, a decently comfortable GT at a decent price. Holding out for a red one was top of my list. ;)

I’ve been more than pleased with my Z. And it has plenty of power me, as is. I remember the original power of the 240 and, heck, that was good enough for me.

Figure out what makes you happy and go for it.

I hae owned allot of cars, and so far my favorite is my 2024 Nissan Z. It's just an all-around fun car to drive and does anything and everything you could want. I would not wait for a 2027 personally, there are just too many good deals to be had on dealer inventory 6MT performance Z's or even slightly used ones. There is so much aftermarket support popping up for these cars, you can customize it anyway you want. As the cars have been out longer, even more aftermarket support will materialize.
