Having Nismo coilovers that were installed by a dealer is covered under Warranty. If the noise is occurring, you have the right to make them fix it. Or replace the faulty part. A noisy suspension is not normal and should be repaired on their dime.

Without someone actually hanging onto the bottom of the car while you drive, its a guessing game and they cant fix what they dont know the problem. And it doesn't sound like they can replicate it while the Z is on the lift. Sounds to me it's a load issue with the weight of the Z when going over bumps.

Another option that I have seen on YouTube is attach a GoPro type of camera on a control arm, or where you can secure on a suspension while you drive. You will need to make changes to the camera angles each time you drive. This is to get the video to show where the noise is coming from. Then provide this info to the dealer and move on with the repairs.

With coilovers, you can lower it more to reduce the wheel gap than what it is now. I read you like to set it and forget it. Me too.

With lowering springs, the most I have seen is 1"-1.2" depending on the brand. The gap will be similar to what you have it now with coilovers. This may or may not fit your vision.

Another option is to go with 20" wheels. That will fill the wheel gap and look closer to the fender. You will sacrifice ride comfort even more due to having shorter sidewalls. Might not be ideal for daily.

I'm loving the HKS Hipermax S coilovers. I just stuck with the out of box settings and the drop is great for daily on these roads in Annapolis. Very comfortable, but stiffer than stock. Handles better now, no more feeling like I'm in a boat when I take off or stop. No noise etc. These are perfect for me.

I also got the Z1 fitment kit, 25mm rear - 20mm front spacers

I’m on stock height, already scrapes a bunch on gas station ramps and pot holes, afraid to lower any more, would the new shocks help?

I have all the stock NISMO suspension bits. I would have lowering springs added to those and installed. That’s why I started this thread - what springs would work on the stock NISMO dampers for a 2027, specifically?

i considered the HKS coilovers, but this experience is the third time, with two different vehicles, where I have had clunking issues with coilovers. Spooks me, as a result….

Swift Springs, been around, JDM designed meaning not too stiff, about 1" drop.

Not for the nismo. These would probably feel softer than nismo...I'd assume. but these are definitely an upgrade for the performance trim's suspension

Swift is actually fairly new in the scheme of things. I put them on my Evo IX and hated them. More JDM hype than anything else, plus they're linear (not progressive) for the Z. Eibach or H&R is a better choice.
