I'd happily trade the pointless heated seats for ventilated ones!
Bruh those heated seats make me forget all my traumatic life experiences on frigid mornings.

Oh I read more carefully, yeah cooled seats are the best.

WE SHOULD HAVE BOTH IN THIS CAR

All good then! May I also suggest those of those back massager pads that plugs into the 12V outlet to really seal the deal?

Tomorrow is unofficial Z day at my house. Finally going to get the Z on the QuickJack and knock out some installs.

The official list is:
  • Change my Alpharex headlights to have orange DRLs
  • Re-align the headlight beams (one is slightly higher than the other)
  • Install the Velossa Tech snorkels
  • Do an oil change
  • Install the Dorman oil pan (finally @KrackaC8 !)
  • Install the Stillen sway bars
  • Install the Powerstop Z26 drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic carbon fiber pads
  • Install the Ark lowering springs
In preparation for the new rotors, I painted them flat matte black on the top hats. They were all silver initially.

@KrackaC8 Question on the Dorman pan, do you need to lubricate the gasket (similar to when you change an oil filter) or just install it dry?

Rotors look much better with the black hats!
I am curious about those ram air snorkels (and B6A's version)...

Install the gasket dry. Wipe down the mating surface the best you can, it won't be perfect, a few drips of oil are fine. I would also suggest spraying down the inside of the new pan with brake cleaner then wiping it clean with a lint-free paper towel or rag just to ensure no foreign material is in there, metal shavings, etc. Mine had some carboard particles in it from the box & packing material.

On the swaybars, I did lubricate the bushings, after wiping them clean, with some packets of Energy bushing grease (https://www.energysuspensionparts.c...1tvJdQXG3WuYsnJ1oIPVagNhaYiIbyfCu4G1q-z-uTdlg). I also used copper anti-seize on the end-link nuts.

@KrackaC8 thanks for the info! Much appreciated.

@FSUZ33 I folded open that tarp and was like "...this was unnecessary". lol But that tarp is also used for yardwork so I had to shake it out before the painting began. I'm excited to see the Z have drilled and slotted rotors. The brake job is near identical to my stepson's M4 and I knocked that out in like 45 minutes last weekend.

Lol, I put a desk chair together last night for my wife. The kind with mesh seat and back. Flipped it over onto its wheels and within 10 seconds our cat was scrunching her claws into the seat.

I have a cat. My first cat, tbh. For about 1.5 to 2 years I think.
I am still, NOT a cat person, and not sure if I will ever be.

Don't get me wrong, I do love like her. Rescued her as a tiny kitten behind our facility (work). Vet said like 3-4 weeks old. Maybe I got a defective one, idk. And maybe I'm defective, but I just can't connect with an animal that likes you 5% of the time and bites and scratches you the other 95%.
I am very much a cat person. Lost my best friend in January this year after 18 years. Loved that little guy. Mine was very social and nice. He would hang out with me all the time.

I'm right there with ya... He'll be 17 this year; just hoping he has one last roadtrip in him this summer to get up to Northern MN! Told my wife, as long as he makes it up there with us, I'll be happy.

That pic was taken in 2024 on a 16-hour drive from Dallas to northern MN. This summer will be 20 hours straight-through from Houston!

Bring lots of treats!
He won't eat them! He has never eaten a single treat or wet cat food his entire life. Besides dry kibble, he likes salty people food and, not joking, key lime pie.
