What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Test fitted my Nismo V2 Rays 10.5" +23 square on current track tires RE71RS 255/285. Yes there is front poke but still clears on stock arms just lowered 1.2" on Swifts. BUT when I put on 285s all corners will need the SPL arms for sure...that's coming in summer before cooler track days in fall. These V2 forged rims are some of the lightest Rays out there, they balance very well too.

Please update us how you feel about the brake kit when you install it!

Having had Brembos on my last 3 S550 Mustangs, I'm missing the braking performance I'm used to. Also my car is a 24, I think in 26 Nissan upgraded the standard brakes...for both the Sport and the Performance models? Can't remember.

I was just going to look into better pads but I'm interested in hearing about your kit since it came with the rotors as well!

Likewise! After having Brembos on my last 4 sports cars...this thing is lacking in the stopping department!

Here are daytime shots of the Nismo Rays V2 10.5" +23 squared. This current setup (255/285) clears everything, no rubbing at dips, speed bumps, or sharp turns. The way it sits on Swifts I think 275 front will still clear but 285s for sure will NOT, needs camber arms. For rear to be more flush (I really don't like spacers), 5mm would work, making it +18.

Thanks! I chose these because the V2s are just about the lightest out there and strong. Way lighter than the current Nismo's, even slightly than the V1s. They are forged so very straight.

Was in the Z33 game for a while, but didn’t follow the Z34 so I didn’t know about those wheels. Very very nice! They look like they’re brand new.
Are they 19’s? They look bigger than 19, but maybe the way the black and silver are make them look bigger.

I loved the RAYS on my ‘03 Track, but they look a little goofy to me now. Not a wheel I’d put on my current Z.

Most still prefer the earlier 370Z V1 Rays 5-spoke, they look great and cost a bit more. But again I prefer these for slightly less unsprung weight for track, to go along with the sticky 200tw RE71RS. FYI, V1 and V2 Rays have identical offsets.

if the first version is the 5 spoke that split right at the lip I def like the v2 more.

Yes those are the V1s and I don't believe you can get any of them, V1 or V2, new. I found a very clean set locally and when installing the tires, shop said these wheels are very straight, very little balance weight added. So, they are high quality Rays forged.

I finally ... finally ... put the hood/bonnet popper bypass kit in. It wasn't an easy endeavor, but I am relieved that I finished it with a few bruises and busted knuckles.
I have no codes and no alarms on the dash, so it was a successful endeavor.
I feared those things destroying the front clip if I hit a speed bump too fast, so my anxiety over that is gone!

I just changed the differential fluid at 6,000 miles. It was WAY dirtier than I expected. There were also way more particles on the magnetic drain plug than I expected. I wish I did it sooner, but I didn't think it would be so bad. I recommend that everyone does this on their car. I'm sure that the first time will be the worst due to break in.
