I did the same after a year. The Z was fine, but after having it for a while. The WOW factor wasn't there anymore. The Z got the looks and was fun to drive, but I couldn't get over the poor seats and marginal Bose system.
Sold the Z to a private party, and it went to a good home. Took a hit on the wallet and ordered a 2026 BMW Z4 M40i 6-speed manual to my specs. Absolutely love the car. Not a daily driver and, I plan to hang on to it for quite a while.

It's definitely one of those cars that needs some fixing straight from the factory, but still eeking the enjoyment out of mine. May have to upgrade suspension soon.

The Nismo did it for me. Although I am a hard core MT guy, I've learned to drive it with a combination between the manual and automatic option. I do want to test the MT whenever is available... if ever...

Hi, I’m not actually AI like a few dim-witted folks have implied. I had a 2024 Sport that I bought in March ā€˜25. In 14 months I put 43,000 miles on it.

My lifetime MPG was 28.7. I went through the trash factory tires in 11,000 miles and my Michelin Pilot A/S (245/45/18) were getting rough. The Sport eats the rear passenger tire way faster than the others. Did it on both sets of tires.

I did not have a single warranty issue with the car although there was a slight exhaust rattle at idle every now and then. Not sure what it was.

I lived in constant fear of the nose being destroyed from the horrific nose dive. I ultimately am just not a stop light racer guy and got tired of the bad handling. It’s a really fun GT to drive carefully and I found the ridiculous power to not fit the chassis in any way, shape, or form.

However, out of now 31 cars I’ve owned, I expect the Z will always be one of the very highest-quality cars I’ve owned. It was built very well and most of the parts seem quality to me. The interior fabric was awful and drove me nuts. The stereo hideous. The seat was the most bizarre shape and incredibly uncomfortable. The parking sensor software is garbage and embarrassing for Nissan. Other than that loved every bit of it.

Also, people loved that car. I’d say someone mentioned it at least 25% of places I went and sometimes in a day every single place I stopped. To say it got a lot of attention is the understatement of the century.

To those wondering about what happens later in life for your cars, they just keep going. They really are great cars for the money. Enjoy!

Saw my first new Prelude yesterday...what a shame. The legend has been soiled; even more embarrassing than what Chevy did to the Blazer name. I wanted a pearl white 5th gen SH so badly at one point!
The Prelude is going to replace the CTR. Watch.

Admit, I haven't seen a Prelude in person. Maybe they're better in person than in pics. Doesn't sound like it though.

Doesn't compare to what Ford did to the "Mustang" name...although the real Mustang still exists.

When I was in high school all the hot girls had Preludes. I went to a really small school, so technically "all the hot girls" means "both hot girls."

So, the Prelude has functional vents and a gorgeous interior. The handling I’d expect is as good or better than the CTR. But it has the hybrid powertrain my CR-V had. It’s really, really good, but not for a car with the CTR suspension.

LOL It's true; that is the demographic purchasing the Prelude both here and in Japan.

There is zero enthusiast appeal to a FWD hybrid w/CVT.
