BRZ is 10, GR is 1. A part of me wonders if this is misleading—given they barely started to roll in as the year ended, due to supply, etc.? At the same time, wonder if that means those after them could secure a good deal (it's nice to have dreams, right?)
Even more misleading since it's based on "last year's sales", so everyone "in the know" is either waiting for the new revamped models and/or the Nissan Z before deciding what to buy.

Plus, most of the other cars on that list are far more expensive! Few people can afford to buy them anyway.

What prices are you guys seeing for the new 86? My local Toyota dealer only has one in stock with an asking price of $35k.

The new version of the twins haven't been released here yet. Supposedly the Toyota is this month, but no mention anywhere about it yet (the official Toyota website simply lists the 2019 86 GT model as "sold out" and the Subaru website doesn't even list the BRZ at all).

TopSpeed dyno'd the new GR86 at 215 hp & 170 lb-ft. Actual bhp would be 253-269 instead of the marketed 228. They estimate it's around 256 bhp (16% loss).

https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-n...2022-toyota-gr86-actually-makes-ar195003.html

...the best results coming from run number seven – 215.54 horsepower and 170.87 pound-feet (231.7 Nm) at the rear wheels. This particular GR86 is also equipped with the six-speed manual

...

Taking in mind, the dyno runs and adjusting for powertrain loss on a rear-wheel-drive car equipped with a manual transmission (15-20 percent), the engine in the 2022 Toyota GR86 actually makes around 256 horsepower.

I love the factory sandbagging taking place lately. Makes me curious what the Z will actually put down...

A nationwide search on cars.com has several at $30k I saw some just under $30k too.

I can see myself purchasing both GR and Z by the end of the decade. I love everything about the GR.

The GR86s in my area are around 33k-35k. I just went to a Toyota dealership this past weekend. It's such a sexy little car. I've been tempted everyday to just go ahead and buy one. Nissan let's go!!

Wouldn't that be completely ironic. That Toyota sandbagged first...and the relative silence from Nissan on the Zed delivers us a 460hp rocket reminding us of why the Z32 was sooo fast!

My mom might get one. I helped her get a fair price on a new 4Runner six years ago. At the time they had a red 86 on the showroom floor. Tried to talk my wife into getting one, but it was poor judgment and our daughter was a newborn at the time

Both mom and I might purchase one in a little less than two years. Sje really likes it and we configured one on Toyota's website for her. I spent half a day talking to her about the car and showing her clips lol. My oldest daughter will likely inherit hers in about 10 years or now. She'll keep the 4Runner. The only problem is I want a white GR86 too so mom and I may be twinning one day, but I'll have the MT. She's got "GR86 Toyota" written on a note pad. Pretty cool, but I feel more secure with mom in a larger vehicle.

If you are pushing one of the new twins on a relative or thinking about one yourself, be warned that over on FT86.com there is some discussion about high levels of tire noise coming into the car on the highway which might make it a tiring commuter. Another downside: despite its smaller size its forward sightlines are only marginally better than the Z's, the cowl sits surprisingly high and the greenhouse is not that tall.
