So jealous! The S30Z is also my dream car. But in China, I’d have to spend around $130,000 to get one, which is way too expensive for me.Yes, this describes me. My first love was the 240Z, way back in High School. By the time I graduated college it was the 280Z and not quite at a price I could comfortably afford.
As the decades and Z models progressed, I lost interest. It seemed to me the Z had lost its way, particularly in the “looks” department.
For me, the current Z has more the look of the original, with some OK nods to other generations, like the 300ZX.
The 240Z was a pretty basic car, albeit still a classic, so I’m very happy with my Sport, with maybe just a few tweaks.![]()
I feel very much the same. One of my first cars was a ’72 240Z, back in 1978. At 16, I was the talk of my peer group—it was something special. A couple of years later, I had another ’72, but as life progressed, practicality took over and I could only manage one vehicle.Yes, this describes me. Lol! Great story! It is a wonderful feeling to finally attain one's dream car. When I was 16 I wanted a 300ZX so bad I could taste it, but knew it wasn't going to happen...ended up with an '88 3/4 ton SilverAYdo.
At 49 I got my Z NISMO.
Based on timeline/math, I should be able to upgrade to a 911 when I'm 82.
