This is true, however keep the steering wheel looking new,in case you sell. Before? No. During? Maybe.
I'm surprised to see people say they use steering wheel covers. The wheel already feels on the bigger side of things compared to other cars I've driven.
I haven't seen any steering wheel covers that would fit tight enough to actually look and feel good. This is true, however keep the steering wheel looking new,in case you sell.![]()
Those do look good. I don't think I'm ambitious enough to sew my own cover though. I'm worried it would end up too thick or not fit 100% and have a little flap of material in the corners. If anybody has installed one I would love to see it.
Your detailer is right. Modern vehicle interior surfaces don't need random chemicals put on them. There's a small chance that certain chemicals can cause damage over time, and since the early 2000's vehicle interiors have been known to develop sticky and/or cracking on soft touch plastics. My detailer recommends using a damp true sheepskin leather chamois on all the interior surfaces, with no sprays or treatments.. I've done this on all my cars for a while now and they all look fresh as.
Agreed. Though it is always good to know what options are out there. Those do look good. I don't think I'm ambitious enough to sew my own cover though. The custom flat bottomed wheels I have seen people post are expensive but look amazing.
