Nice numbers.
Where did they get the baseline?
Weren’t you already tuned? Or did you just get tuned?

Thanks, baseline was stock and this dyno was just against the initial batch of parts while in Charlotte @ SOHO. In KY now and was finally able to resurrect them off the TekMetric report.

I’ve got the AMS intake in box sitting here. Planning to dyno post intake install if the logs deem appropriate but wanted to track the existing runs down.

In the process I learned that SOHO is also coming out with an A2A conversion kit so I’m on the fence now, might return the AMS intake and wait till 26-ish for Z1 turbos and A2A.

Installed Mishimoto's catch can. All hardware fit & finish is top notch. Install was straight forward, they have a nice PDF and full install video to support DIY. It has an AN plug to drain but the bracket itself slides on guide slots once loosened so I think I'll just empty top-side. Hardest part was wrangling the intercooler out of the way, I ended up using a straight pick to help coax/break the hoses loose.

I wonder how close SOHO or other tuners can get to that level of performance increase by remote tuning.
I dont think there are any known Z tuners around me.

SOHO or Racebox, either can if you’re diligent with the logs. Yeah I wouldn’t hesitate, the platform has been around for awhile at this point.

I did the Z1 catch can a few weeks ago, the intercooler step was a gigantic pain, but hopefully it'll be worth it when I drain the can next oil change.

Awesome - thanks for sharing the dyno resuts. I’m looking at z1 or soho. Both are about ~2hr drive.

looks like 45hp gains so far and that was from 18psi boost. Do you know what they set the target a/f?

Near double that actually at the tire from stock, but even so, this is what I'd consider a mild pump tune on this platform at this point.

I do not know targets but if you give Nick @ SOHO a ring he'd take the time to cover general targets more recently on an similar or full FBO tune, or put you in touch with on of their tuners. I haven't worked directly with Z1 outside of parts sourcing but I've heard they are great. I stick with SOHO because my brother and I have been working with them for over a decade. Top notch for sure but I'd not hesitate to work with Z1.

Hey folks, I realized that I never got around to posting a build thread.

I'm going to paste a bit of backstory from the new member post I had created:

"long time VR30 fan. I was heart-broken when I totaled my Q60 Red Sport. I then thought the next logical step was the R35 GT-R so I hustled my way into a deal on one and ultimately let it go after only 6 months. It was an incredible piece of machinary, just not the right vehicle for me given its general lack of DIY accessibility spanning all major systems. Finally, I'm back into the VR30 platform via the Z and I've been so dang thrilled with it."

Did you have the ams intakes when you got tuned and made 450 or was that with stock intakes? Also you running them without the clear top cover? If so does it make them loud like the boosted 6 intakes?
