The 105k interval seems wildly too long to me. I've read that plugs for DIT motors are supposed to have longer lives, but my 2021 Forester with a DI engine running OEM iridium plugs has a 60K interval.

So what's a more sensible interval for this motor?

A Nissan technician told me around 90K is the lifetime they expect from their OEM iridium plugs (Denso, I believe). Based on that, I think 60K would be too soon but 105K does seem like a lot.

Factory plugs on my 2002 Ford Explorer with 280k on it. It's been a heck of a vehicle. Just my weekend going to the range/woods truck now but it still starts and runs great. Have never touched the tranny fluid either. Or the rotors.

Stuff is made a lot better nowadays.

I probably won't touch the Z plugs until 100k.

After reading these posts I looked up the OEM plug specs for the Forester and NGK says they can go 100k. My mind is blown.
