Software Update

Anyone know if the 2024 Nissan Z can do a software update? If yes, how do you do a software update? I know there are some Nissan models that can do a software update at home. You need a wireless connection from home.

I went through all the settings on my Z and did not find any wireless connection feature or the ability to do a software update for the 2024 Nissan Z. I was at the Nissan Dealership recently and they told me that my car could use a software update. I think they meant at the dealership that they can do the software update but NOT from home. I am surprise the latest model Z can not do the update from home because this Nissan model can do it from anywhere:

Do you know if you have NissanConnect Services? Mine came with ‘Premium’ (free for 3 years) and a subset of that, ‘Select’ (free for 5 years). DIY OTA updates are part of the ‘Select’ package. I haven’t tried it, so there may be a catch, idk.

If you have a NissanUSA.com account, you can login and see what packages you have. I couldn’t find it in my MyNissan app, though could be user error.

@Landon is your Z a Performance or Sport? The Performance has a wifi router in the vehicle and does over the air updates with the complimentary Nissan Connect Service, mine is for 5 years.

I don't believe the sport has the wifi hardware but I'm not positive on that.

No Wi-Fi at all in my 24 Sport. Trying to fix a calling issue and thought to update the system, can't find any info on latest version. Seems dealership might have to fix..

You can install updates. You will first will need to connect to any wifi - like your home wifi or mobile hotspot. you can setup auto or manual updates. Note that you can not connect to wifi with apple play connected.
