Since my dealer charged me 230$ to disable the ASE, I will do it myself

Will be removing ASE/ASC ... tomorrow
There are two settings: ANC and ASE, for four combinations. I'd suggest to try each one. Take the car out for spin for each combination. I'd love to hear your thoughts on each combination.

The ANC is something I don't care about, I commute 30/miles/day roundtrip.
The stupid ASE/ASC from the subwoofer is irritating and the dealer wanted $178 to diagnose.
I showed them in the owners manual that they could turn it off, they still wanted the $178.
But, I can try out all the combos and share with the forum, IF I can get it all to work like it should.

The videos of disabling the pinout on the amp ... I am not ripping apart the car to that level for a single pin on a connector.

Well I ended up buying everything I need to just turn it off with software as well. I want ASE off the most so pulling the ANC pin wouldnt do me any good. Its annoying they tied everything into to the CAN signals for it on the new Z. I figured while I had all the plastics out I would sound deaden it as well. Removing them takes no time at all. The sound deadening took me and the wife about 7 hours though and I was one piece short in the trunk kit to cover everything I want.

Got the ANC and ASE turned off. Bought the RLink. I used chatgpt to guide me, it was prettt fantastic. One of the things it did was have me configure all my power settings on the laptop (including individual property setting on each USB port) to ensure the connection wasn't lost during write operations. I was pretty nervous about bricking the ECU but it went smooth and all is well. Engine sounds normal now and the audio is better for sure.

The ANC is terrible in my opinion. Felt like I was inside a speaker port or a small tunnel when i was driving sometimes. Without it the interior feels "open" for lack of a better term. It was like something was wrong that I couldn't directly identify, and now all is well. I guess years of racing and driving/riding all types of vehicles really makes me want to be able to hear everything that is going on.

I think it would be kinda fun to take a poll and see how many dealer even know about it. Mine was so clueless that even after I clearly explained it they still didn't get it.

When spending the $55 ... what other settings would be worthwhile to adjust?
Just thinking, could get multiple things done for the money.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! 🍻

I wanted to turn off hill start assist, but searching through the settings, I couldn't find a way to turn it off.

I'd also love it if I could change ICC and regular cruise control such that regular is short press and ICC was long press.
