I received my Silvers 2 way coilovers after a very short wait. Just want to give a shout out to Silvers. They are a great company to work with, super responsive and open to any custom requests, A+. And fast!!!

So the goal of this wasn't to lower the car, and didn't need anything excessively high end as I am not racing this car. I wanted to try different spring rates and to have full control of the damping setting. I didn't think the stock Nismo suspension was that bad until I drove with the Silvers, Its miles ahead. I went with 16k F and 10K R on a true rear coilover and rubber upper mounts to keep NVH down. In short the car feels amazing so far, a complete opposite from stock. Stock would feel sporty but would completely blow through all the travel on a big compression event. This feels opposite, the ride is smooth but the damping is very controlled and tight on big bumps and dips, feels like it will never bottom out. NVH is only slightly increased, not a big deal. I ended up setting the car 10mm lower than stock as I like to rip a lot of bumpy back roads. I am still setting the dampers up so these are just initial impressions, my car feels like a sports car not a boat..

external reservoir. NIce. Maybe it is my age, but I like the subtle lowering over slammed. It looks, and is, functional.

How do you adjust the rears?

What was your final alignment? I am not sure what a decent track setup alignment should be on this car yet.

The compression knob is on the reservoir so you have to jack up the car so the wheels are off the ground and reach in over the wheel and adjust as needed.

The rebound knob is at the top of the damper. I didn't want to drill a hole in the truck trim so I have to remove the wheels and loosen the 2 top mounting nuts and let the suspension droop so I can reach my fingers in and adjust as needed. Its a bit of a PITA but once set I usually never mess with it, so its only during the initial setup.

The alignment is stock for now. A 10mm drop wont change anything notable. I added in .5 mm total toe out to the front when I got the car and its still .5 mm now. Looks like the front camber is around -1.5° and the rear is around -2.0°. I will verify this at some point in the future when I finalize the setup.

That being said you can run a lot lower than this and not have bottoming issues, this suspension great, its just so composed over everything without using a ton of travel.

Where did you get those rubber upper mounts?

Here is a pic of the upgrades I did to the rear shock. The lower soft foam bushing eliminates any noise coming from the rear upper mount, its pretty much like stock as far as noise goes. I also did a progressive bump stop on all 4. This all gets covered by the boot and spring once installed.

Sadly my Nismo is gone so I will be listing the parts for sale soon.

Do these custom bushings affect ride height?

No, this has no affect on the height at all.

How many miles did you put on these? Were you generally happy, are they good for mostly street driving? Also, do they make a remote adjuster for the rear shocks?

I have 6k street miles on these, so the ride is a 7 out of 10 as for stiffness, 5 being stock Nismo. They are set up for fast road or track, they make the car feel very tight and very responsive. I do have remote adjusters for the rear but I didn't want to drill my interior plastic so I never installed them. Once they are set up you don't really touch the adjusters. I will make a for sale post soon, will be asking $1500 shipped in the US.

I may be interested, so looking forward to seeing the FS post. I had coil overs on a few cars, and I liked to adjust them. When I was around town I would keep them on the soft side, and if I went to the mountains or hit the road course, I would adjust them a bit more stiff. I am sure if done right, it won't look too bad in the rear with the adjusters.
