I dont think any tires are going to save stupid ass drivers. This thread is looking like the Mustang scene! I'm sure those greasy 'Stone OEM tires came into play?!
Oh man, sorry to hear this. I hope noone was hurt.Unfortunately I think you're about to see mine show up on this thread. A couple weeks ago I had a driver pace me on the highway revving like he wanted to race - in heavy rain! Tried to ignore him. Next thing I know I he was perpendicular cutting across in front of me at 60 mph. Lift-off oversteer into hydroplane I guess. It's his fault and his insurance is paying for it, but it still looks like a total. Guess I'm about to be in the market for a Z again.
I have a theory that a certain number of car crashes are caused by the kind of car you drive. It wasn't one of those "oh if only I was there a few seconds later" kind of thing since the same thing could have happened somewhere else (I'm a little paranoid now to be honest). I somehow made it to my 30's without being in a car crash and it's a bit shocking how unavoidable things gets when people lose complete control.
I still love the car, and I will replace mine, but the revving and attention can be a bit much. The cars are still too rare. Nissan needs to get more out there asap.
Also - that white Z looks just like mine but on the driver's side instead. Maybe similar story with that one?
This. Last Sunday night (after my rant the previous Wednesday), this happened to me. Your incident came to mind. Something to avoid....
