This thread is looking like the Mustang scene! I'm sure those greasy 'Stone OEM tires came into play?!

How does one find someone who can get parts from these?

Unfortunately I think you're about to see mine show up on this thread. A couple weeks ago I had a driver pace me on the highway revving like he wanted to race - in heavy rain! Tried to ignore him. Next thing I know I he was perpendicular cutting across in front of me at 60 mph. Lift-off oversteer into hydroplane I guess. It's his fault and his insurance is paying for it, but it still looks like a total. Guess I'm about to be in the market for a Z again.

I have a theory that a certain number of car crashes are caused by the kind of car you drive. It wasn't one of those "oh if only I was there a few seconds later" kind of thing since the same thing could have happened somewhere else (I'm a little paranoid now to be honest). I somehow made it to my 30's without being in a car crash and it's a bit shocking how unavoidable things gets when people lose complete control.

I still love the car, and I will replace mine, but the revving and attention can be a bit much. The cars are still too rare. Nissan needs to get more out there asap.

Also - that white Z looks just like mine but on the driver's side instead. Maybe similar story with that one?

Oh man, sorry to hear this. I hope noone was hurt.

I do not understand drivers. I was driving from Phoenix to San Diego last week along I8. I generally hang out in the right lane unless I need to pass somebody. I also have a policy never to be the fastest car in the road, so I get passed too.

Literally at least three different drivers driving only in the left lane would eventually catch me...and then hang out in my blind spot. I mean, really? You just spent the last five minutes catching me, and then you won't overtake? Of course this boxes me in to any slower traffic in the right lane. I just don't get it. My goal when driving is to stay away from other cars, so I just don't understand hanging out in someone's blind spot.

And there it is. The damage doesn't look that bad, but just the raw parts alone was $18k, and that's only for the stuff you can see externally. The total estimate was already up around $40k without even checking under the hood. These cars are very expensive to repair.

This. Last Sunday night (after my rant the previous Wednesday), this happened to me. Your incident came to mind. Something to avoid.

It was night on a crowded four-lane NB I5. Car weaving through traffic pulls up on my passenger side and starts gunning the engine. I ignore. Fortunately, the driver got bored with me quickly and pulled ahead.

I hope you find a new Z soon. Think of it this way, maybe you'll enjoy the small perks the '24 has: the illumination in the cell phone bay. Wireless AA (if you use Android), etc.
