Another great weekend at Road Atlanta. Probably turned around 55 laps the first day and 40 laps day 2 and the Nismo handled it all like a champ and drove me 2 hours back home when it was done.

Some video footage trying to keep up with fancy Porsches:

And here are my carbotech XP-12 brake pads after 2 weekends of track driving vs a new set.

Honestly this car has held up so well now for 10 track days and 33 thousand miles that i'm starting to get nervous that something hasn't gone wrong... I did trade recently trade in my Subaru Ascent for a truck that I can use to tow to the track so hopefully soon I can venture out to some new tracks like Sebring, Barber, etc. Still need to find a trailer though

I love you are putting mileage on and tracking the car. Using it like it was meant to be. Also happy to hear it has been durable.

I'm pretty sure I have the highest Mileage Z Nismo in the country but it's hard to know for sure 😄 I thought maybe Nismo Nick would have me beat but when his car was listed on copart it was ~17,000 if I remember right

Good to see the Z is lapping well out there plus Garmin Catalyst is great to have! Those XP12s held up well too, front and rear? How are temps holding up over those laps, trans, diff, oil, etc. Still stock with no aftermarket cooling?

I have the Nismo (AMS) heat exchanger but that's it ifor cooling. These were the temps towards the end of the morning session and this is pretty consistent with most of the sessions. I've been using XP-12 up front and XP-10 in the rear

Thanks, really helpful details, we have hot climes here in south Cali. And that pad combo works well, I believe had them on my E46 M3.

I love carbotech. How are the rotors holding up with XP12?

So far so good! First time I used these new front brakes at the track I did a terrible job with the bedding after swapping from the 1521 street pads to the XP12. I wound up with loads of pad deposits and unpleasant vibrations under braking which wasn't fun. Thankfully this time I did a much better job with it and didn't get any of that really at all.

First time I tried bedding them I didn't really clean the rotor surface well at all before I tried the actual bedding process. This time around I added an extra step where I went driving with the XP-12 pads and did some hard stops that were spread out so the brakes were as cold as possible. Then the following day I went and tried to do the actual bedding process.

I'm definitely getting some nice spider web cracks on the rotor but nothing abnormal according to Essex/AP racing

there was a stealth grey Nismo a couple of months ago listed with 24k miles, but I'm glad you rip around your little demon; Nissan really knows how to make a nismo.

How is the differential in handling that heat? Do you use any other fluid? Also how's the transmission holding up; especially under constant hard driving, is there any extra torque mitigation?

Still using the OEM fluid for the enginge, transmission and differential and haven't had any issues at all. I have been changing it more regularly around every 10k miles. Next time I change them I'll try to send a sample off to blackstone for analysis since I'm curious.

Are you still using the OEM filter? Or the Nismo/GTR filter for the engine? Super glad to see the Nismo can handle the Heat and track torture!
