Ordered my rear splash guards via parts.nissanusa.com a month or so back. Preparing to install tomorrow, did a test fit tonight....and the fit is terrible. If I match the body lines with the notch for the bumper the wheel well screw holes don't line up, pretty noticeable line where the guard meets the body panel towards the front of the vehicle, and the holes in the wheel well portion of the splash guard don't meaningfully line up with the fender lip.

I really like the protection afforded by the splash guards but don't want the install to look like a teenager on a part-time job. Am I missing something? Have others run into similar fitment issues, and if so how did you solve it?

Thanks for that question, I was wondering as well since I want to buy the rear ones. Do not need the front ones.

I'm following with interest since I have both front and rear sitting in boxes waiting for a chance for me to get them installed. I haven't tried test fitting yet. I did download the installation instructions and it seems like there should have been a template included to mark the location of holes to be drilled. I didn't receive a template in either box. Did you?

I just did this job two weeks ago.
I did not "test fit" them. I left them in the wrapper until it was time to press them on and screw them in. The holes lined up great for me with where they had me drill. I know others here have had good success with these too.

I only did the rear's.

What were the part numbers?

You shouldn’t have any problems installing the rear splash guards. The biggest challenge is drilling the pilot holes (trying to squeeze a drill in that tight space). Also, make sure to follow the instructions to prep the double sided tape.

Just finished up the install, it went fine and looks great.

Reading @ZillaZ's comment that he did not test fit them was a good reminder that maybe my attempt to test fit was flawed, and it was. After lining up the top edge I was pushing the bottom too close to the existing panel and none of the holes would line up.

Thanks for all the help on this.

I want to do this so bad! I just can’t bring myself to do it because my Z is black and I just don’t think it’s that noticeable .
