noisy engine

has anyone here came from A 350z HR or 370z. Why is the new Z's engine significantly noisy compared to the previous generations. And does anyone else experience the slight engine rattle with light acceleration while engine oil temps are below 140f, usually after cold starts?

I get a rattle on cold fast idle and warm up then around 1000 - 1100 rpm when hot.

The 370 had direct injection.

To my knowledge the 370 never came with DI, they were port injection only.

It had Electronic fuel injection but Direct fuel injection is a slight bit different and very noisy.

Even with the engine covers removed mine doesn't make that noise under any conditions. Are you following the factory recommended oil change intervals using a 0-20 oil

I don’t follow factory oil recommendation, l change much earlier, l now use 5w/30 and it sounds much better. That clip was when using 0/20 water weight.

You are hearing the direct injection. Noisy on most directed injected cars. Get customers asking all the time about the ticking noises from their DI engines.
