I don’t believe so, no. You can’t take that piece all the way off with the manual and leaving the knob on but there is still plenty of room to unscrew the old one and put in the new one.Do you need to remove the shift knob to do?
Z1 has it. https://www.z1motorsports.com/switches/nissan/oem-24-nissan-nismo-red-drive-mode-switch-p-48716.htmlDid the same. Looks better than the stock black button, would like to see if they come out with the red S-mode button.
That shift boot looks great! I have the read interior as well. Wanted to do the button, shift knob and ebrake. You don't have to remove the knob. I did to change out the shift knob. It made it easier to install the button. Also removed the knob with 2 strap wrenches. No damage to original, just a little elbow grease.![]()
Looks great, is there a custom red button for the rev match button? the nismo only comes in auto so I figured there's only a red drive mode button but maybe Nissan predicted people would like the red buttons, maybe they made an OEM red S-mode button? You don't have to remove the knob. I haven't seen relating to it on the factory website. Maybe once the NIsmo is produced in manual, it will become available.Looks great, is there a custom red button for the rev match button? the nismo only comes in auto so I figured there's only a red drive mode button but maybe Nissan predicted people would like the red buttons, maybe they made an OEM red S-mode button?
