News on BIG 2027 Z Production changes for the US

I went to my dealer today and they told me that I could put a deposit if I wanted to... however, this means nothing to them because they cannot order these anymore. Just allocation and won't know how many and which colors. So, basically the same story we've been hearing. My sales advisor told me that he would be just taking my money with no guarantees.
Hopefully, we'll find out before the Nismos hit the US shores. Then that will be the time to bleed...

Would not surprise me one bit if the “limited” quantity of Nismos is actually a marketing ploy to get more people interested in ordering. After all, they showcased the Nismos with YouTube drivers/channels at a racetrack to pump up hype. It’s a good tactic imo. But if Nissan plays games and makes it very hard to get the one I want (including dealer markups), I already have a Lotus Emira V6 MT that I’ve chosen.

I was going to wait for the 2027. But after seeing the potential price gouging by dealers and the limited availability I decided to get a 2026 instead. I found a white performance model with the black and red accent interior manual transmission at my local dealer. I paid $50,xxx. They were trying to add some BS “accessories” , glass etching for $1,900 and door guard for $199. After back and forth they agreed to remove those two items.

Out the door was $57,029. I am happy with the purchase. I figured the money I saved with this 2026 can be used to get some after market goodies.

You must have high sales taxes and registration fees because I'm also looking at about the same out the door situation as you.

However, in this economy, I don't think the price gouging will be too prevalent or last very long. Oh yeah, they'll try at first. I'm also cool with the pre-27 models, can't go wrong either way.

$120k before tax/license and before any negotiation.

I tried to order the Lexus LC 500 several months ago but the dealers could not order any more. Since then, a couple have come in (including the limited Inspiration model) but they want upwards of $25k more as a markup.

Personally, I refuse to pay any markup for any car, and have already told Nissan dealers where I stand. Cars are meant to be driven and I'm looking for another daily driver (currently an E63 AMG). So we'll see if my local dealer is correct and if orders can be taken in the first week of August...

I am so glad I purchase a 2026 at a great discount. I just configured a green w/ tan interior with stock wheels with nothing else. It came to almost $55k. That is assuming no dealer adjustment, which is very unlikely.

Yes, but that’s just Nissan’s “build and spec” site. After you “Build,” it will send the info to your local dealer(s) so they can get in contact with you. Right now (today) I have not been able to order one.

But here’s an optimistic note: The website allows one to add a number of additional Nismo racing/track parts, which suggests that the Nismo build may be more widely available than has been previously reported. We shall see…

the nismo parts have nothing to do with the factory nismo Z. that site is just adding the nismo USA accessory parts the same way it allows you to add floor mats ahead of time

Similar here. After getting my 2025 at a great price, then upgrading with some NISMO accessory mods, just no way I'd be going for a 2027.

Overall bad marketing by Nissan of this 'build-to-order' format, at dealer mercies on final pricing, and doubt you will find inventory at showroom floors. This exclusivity will stay at above MSRP for all 2027s. I bought mine from existing new inventory at below $50K, doubt this will happen again.
