New Z Model Name | What Should It Be Called?

I'm always confused what to say when people approach me and say "Is that a 350Z/370Z?". I feel like a dick correcting them. I wish it wasn't just "the New Z".

I've heard people say it should have been similar to the 300ZX model name, which makes sense.

What do you guess think? I thought about 300ZR, 300ZVR, 300VRZ...

from a marketing standpoint your casual buyer will see anything labeled "300" as a step back from 350 then 370. obviously thats not very smart as the turbo makes up for displacement but its a factor as naming by that just sends out a vibe of it being lesser


also Nissan named it Z because since it draws from so many different generations its sort of the culmination of all the Zs before it

Ah, marketing. Ok, then we need to come up with an underground name. Something cool, with an air of modern mystery and vaperwave lol.

yes chasis codes are 3BA-RZ34 for the manual Zs and 5BA-RZ34 for the Auto

Someone in California has already taken RZ34 for a "personalized" license plate. And ZR34 is used also.

Yeah, that's one of my ways to say that it's the new one. "I love your 350Z, bro". "Four HUNDRED Z, ha ha. The NEW one". "Bro, that car...is SICK!". "Thank you!". Lol SMH.

When people hear "400Z" here, they assume it means 4 Liters. I don't correct them for that because they don't say their assumption out loud. But the inflection they put on "oh REALLY, they stepped it UP" tells all lol.

yeah my dad calls it 400Z for like the last 2 years. at least with the Z NISMO he just calls it the NISMO so thats progress

I think I want to change some parts to NISMO parts, and do the Z1 overhaul. Then it could be called the Z1 NISMO. And it would (I think) be cheaper than trading for an actual NISMO...
