Exactly. The difference between just lowers or full downpipes is 10-20 hp depending on the car and other supporting mods.

I just want lowers, I thought these were both just LDP's...

Don’t get hung about your Borla being 2.5” — unless you ultimately want more than ~530whp; it’s a nonissue. 2.5” to 3” and back again makes less and less difference the further away from the turbo you get. I think if we’re honest, Nissan never really intended a pair of 3” pipes to pin up neatly under this car. 🫶

The PPE engineering were 8- 10 week back order so I just said fuck it and cancelled my order with CZP and I paid up and got all AMS stuff. Cold Air intake, LDP's with GESI cats and the AMS heat exchanger. I have a lot of personal travel next few weeks for kids college grad and such so hopefully I can start to get this stuff on in June and then arrange for a tune. Thanks for feedback and info from everyone. Looking forward to learning more and enjoying this car.

Sometimes it's just easier to buy the filet minot. You know it will be good.

I agree. I'm not eating beans and I bought this car cheap so I can spend a bit on it to make me happy. I'm already having more fun than I have in a long time just figuring out what I want and driving the wheels off this thing. Just like my 16' Camaro 2SS 6 speed that I leased for four years back tires are going to be an expense as well. Thinking 20mm spacers and 295's out back will look and feel a bit better. I was going to lower it but I honestly like the ride so I'm leaving that alone. I'm old.

How quickly will the crap hit the fan if a 15208-65F1F shows up?! :headbang:
On the topic of oil... Get your break-in oil change and differential fluid change done. You're at just about the perfect mileage for it. After that, keep engine oil fresh with much more frequent oil changes than Nissan's official 10k mile/1 year interval schedule.

Considering adding an aluminum oil pan to replace the factory plastic one. Better heat dissipation, stronger, increased capacity, and complete drains (stock plastic pan leaves 0.8 qts residual on the bottom during oil changes).

Oil filters: only run OEM as they're the only ones with the correct bypass pressure. These are the only two currently available on the market; period:
  • 15208-65F1B (Japan)
  • 15208-65F1E (Mexico)
I finally found some time today to get under the car. The filter is a Nissan 15208-65F1A. Based on what you said above this is not the right one. I'm going to get it to the shop for an oil and filter change.

On another note I did get my AMS cold air intake installed this morning without incident. Notice a bit more intake sound. Still waiting on the rest of my AMS parts to come so I can get them bolted on and get it tuned.

I do have another question though. Will a tune solve the problem of the nannies intervening? Even holding down the traction control button and disabling everything I still feel like it intervenes just when things get fun with wheel spin. It's odd to me.

F1A is the oil filter installed from the factory and not currently available for retail purchase.

There is another secret switch by the brake pedal to disable more of the nannies, but I do not believe a tune will change any of those.

Secret switch by the brake pedal? I feel like you're yanking my chain. It seriously cuts power with excessive wheel spin and its obnoxious.

Actually they did. . They made the VR30DDTT to go north of 800hp. 2.5in diameter is good for more low end torque if you stay under 600HP. If you got big turbo plans then 3inch or more.
