I just watched a video of a Terminator. With duel 2.5” exhaust it put down 930 WHEEL HP. He swapped to duel 3” exhaust and didn’t put down any more power. So for anyone worried about duel 2.5” exhaust not being enough…. There you go. Also. Z1 puts down over 600 wheel through SINGLE 3”. With conservative tune. I would argue that adding 3” duel exhaust is adding more weight than power. Numbers don’t lie. The most important spot for large volume pipe is right after the turbo (down pipes). After that, duel 2.5” is not going to hinder anyone from putting down big numbers even with big turbos.

Point made ahhhhhh very telling. 3" FDP, there you go. If you choose 2.5 cat back then cool. Now FOR DUAL 3", titanium metal would drastically reduce weight and reduce back pressure. Thanks for sharing.

I think if with duel 2.5” @900+ WHP, and moving to duel 3” yielded zero gains it would show that there is no back pressure to mitigate. The only thing that changes between the two sized pipes would be exhaust velocity at the tail pipe.
Back pressure would be limiting the amount of CFM that could flow through and getting rid of that back pressure would then yield a measurable gain of some kind. It just goes to show that duel 2.5” can support HP numbers higher than 98% of VR30 owners. Now. That being said, there is nothing wrong with duel 3” exhaust. It’s not hurting anything. And yes. Technically duel 3” can support higher numbers than duel 2.5”. Evidently you would need to be over 930 WHP to find out where that horse power level is. Also, side note just in case, this has nothing to do with a naturally aspirated engine which do see gains with larger exhaust at lower hp numbers.
