Me too. I had to go change mode and look.Every time I see a cluster mode that's not sport, I forget my car has two other formats that I'm just not using.
Ever since I learned about the negative effects of topping modern gas tanks off, I have trusted computers more than experimental results. Too many factors changing how much is really going in the tank for me to consider it valid. But if you are seeing those results I believe you.I find the MPG computer 1.5 to 2mpg optimistic. On the rare occasion I drive the speed limit on a trip I've seen it return 31mpg. On trips running 80+ with occasional pulls up to100+ it still returns 25/27mpg.
I seem to be at a steady state. Sometimes I really pay attention to the immediate MPG status bar and I can’t get it to 28.5. I also haven’t seen it fall over the past few weeks regardless of how I drive.Dude! I so wanted to do this. Unfortunately, I reset my trip 2 at some point and lost it. I look forward to future reports on lifetime mpg.
(I almost wanna buy a new Z to restart...)
If your referring to putting more gas in after it clicks off, Your right, that's wrong and induces liquid into the vapor canister. Not sure what that has to do with me. When you say using experimental results, are you speaking of figuring your fuel mileage by hand using math. If so, that's the most accurate way to figure MPG. When using your Onboard fuel computer please note it reads "average" fuel mileage. That's the very reason it will never be as accurate as figuring it using math.Ever since I learned about the negative effects of topping modern gas tanks off, I have trusted computers more than experimental results. It has to do with you because there’s no way to accurately measure MPG from the pump. I wasn’t trying to hurt your feelings. Just proving a factual point. The amount in your tank from the pump stopping is never the same amount twice. Might want to thing that through. Or not. I’m not trying to make you feel bad. Sorry you take forum comments like your dad leaving you at the bus station. If your referring to putting more gas in after it clicks off, Your right, that's wrong and induces liquid into the vapor canister. ....What he is talking about, I think, i may have heard this is idea about the pumps before. after the pump stop the 1st time, when you start it again, maybe it runs 3sec maybe it runs 5sec how much fuel did you add after the click? and why is it not the same when you go back? doing math "by hand" IS THE BEST but you have moving variables on both sides like. how much did you add. how much was left before you stopped? Harder to say without the Z's count or trusting the pumps (who are cheating us by the way)Your not hurting my feels. Infact I find your post pretty funny. For example, The pump not stopping at the same gallons every time you fill up. Up until then no one knew that. Only a very young person with no life experience would even write that.
