You mean the new Z? It didn’t even launch until 2023 and that was just the prototype, not very many got one.
If you mean the 370Z, people find the body style and design overall a cult classic, but not many keep it around for long.
The 370Z I had is now on its fourth owner over the last 11 years so that’s not even an average of 3 years per owner. I didn’t even have mine for 3 years before I said “nah, I want the new one”.

My 2023 (build date Dec 2022) is coming up on 12,000 miles. Doing great. My basic warranty expires next April.

You guys are right, meant to say since they first announced it.

I know the Supra had a problem with oil pump failing due to plastic internals.

Has the Z had any similar problems after a few years of ownership?

I’ve got 20k miles on mine that I’ve only owned 6 months. No surprises. It’s a great car, as all of my Nissans have been.

Coming up on 30k. No issues to date. Been running the Conti Extreme tires with a good precision alignment. Completely transforms the car, instead of getting into traction control it just hooks and books now.

You put in 20K in half a year?! What have you been doing, commuting to CA or Las Vegas??

My 2023 has a little over 3K miles. As you can tell , I barely drive her which makes every time I do, so very special. I wish I could drive her to work but the parking spaces at my job are “toight like a tiger.” I plan on keeping my Z forever FYI. Overall, I love her and she has exceeded my expectations.

Too many Teslas running around in my area, so sad really owning one. The Z on the other hand..... :like: so special and rare, fun rolling the miles.

Work has been slow most of the 6 months, which is a good thing, so I typically drive somewhere I haven’t seen most days. Also some 8-hr round trips to see my parents in assisted living.

Cars are meant to be driven. You can die tomorrow and the precious car in the garage that was never driven is a waste. Plus it’s my 30th car and I’m honestly surprised it’s even made it 20k without being traded. It’s a sign I really like the Z. I don’t care about the mileage. If it breaks I’ll buy another one.

I have a lot of life lessons to share, but specific to cars, if you love a car drive the wheels off of it. The more miles, the more you lived. And it’s just a car. It doesn’t love you. It doesn’t care about you. Use it for you and when your last day comes you’ll not have that sinking feeling, “I’d do anything to go back and just drive the damn cars all I could.” Don’t be that car lover with regrets. Burn up the miles knowing you’ll smile instead of regret.

100% agree!! I've owned many 'enthusiast' cars in the past incl Rabbit GTi, BMW 2002 Tii, Audi Quattro, BMW M3, Subaru STi, Mustang GT, several 240Zs, most gens Miatas, Cayman S, each time drove the heck and pushed them. Some cars owned had super low miles, babied them, always thinking of resale value, BIG mistake! Got boring, sold them. Enjoy your Zs every chance you get and mod it to personalize, let the miles pile up.

I don't think it was "why are you driving this car so much" kinda question.

More just surprised at the amount of driving overall as that is quite a lot regardless of vehicle!

Im on the other end of that spectrum for example. Mine is not a garage queen... it's my daily driver and only car i have.

And im at i think 11k on a 2024 that's going on 2 years old now haha. Got it either tail end of 2023 or right after 2024.
