At least the battery is on the passenger side and further back enough towards the firewall. Will have to see when I cornerweight this Z.
No doubt too expensive, but using a transaxle would have been a boon in getting to 50/50.

so about the weight, i completely forgot about this one that at sema awhile back, funny now reading about it from car and driver and motortrend. it has the weight at 3428. granted this is on a 370z with an engine swap, BUUUUT it was done by nissan so themselves so maybe this will be close to the actual weight.

im going to try and connect a link or 2 but might mess up so im sorry in advance, Nissan 370Z Clubsport 23 specs, performance data - FastestLaps.com , Nissan 370Z Project Clubsport 23 Packs a Twin-Turbo V-6 for SEMA #MTSEMA18 (motortrend.com)

VR30DDTT (w/ turbo system) weighs 486lbs
VQ37 weighs about 18lbs less.

I wonder if the Z will have more aluminum body parts (e.g. fender roof hatch suspension parts) to offset the increase in engine weight

Edit: agree w/ @JoaquinJr

My guess would be 3570 lbs for the Performance Trim. Hopefully she will be lighter.

I would bet that 18 lbs does not include the weight of the fluids in the 3 inter coolers and associated plumbing
The weight stated includes the turbos, inter coolers and associated piping, the engine block itself weighs less as it is smaller. That’s a good point though, but both weights are dry weight I believe. I could be wrong, maybe someone more knowledgeable could chime in. Although Tamasura stated in an interview that the new engine, transmission, turbos, intercoolers and radiator alone added 200lbs!! I hope he was referring to the 9AT model but I think that 200lbs probably isn’t net weight added.
