I'd probably replace the entire shifter also. I have never kept a stock shift knob though.

You replaced the shifter? It wasnt bad, just time consuming
Yup! like you said just time consuming. Ended up breaking a bolt for the dust boot cover around the lever had to extract that and replace. After that it actually went back together much quicker than I anticipated. Thanks for the help!
