Does anyone know which heat exchanger is in the Nismo? It's supposed to be an upgraded one, but just wondering if it is a true Nismo one. I've noticed you can by one from Nissan.

Looks like the nismo comes with 3. The center is the same as the regular non nismo and then a left and a right. Not the same as the nismo over the counter.

I figured it probably was not the Nismo one. Since Nissan never tends to put genuine Nismo parts on a Nismo. Go figure!

I think it is the other way around. NISMO parts in the US are aftermarket vendor parts rebranded with a factory warranty. The parts in the NISMO are actually from NISMO in Japan.

I can't really tell until I see one (Nismo Z) in person.

Looking at videos, looks like it does have a larger heat exchanger then the performance/sport models. Not as large as the Nismo/AMS heat exchanger

EDIT
the nismo and non nismo have the same centre heat exchangers

If you look it up, the center exchanger for the nismo and non nismo are identical. The nismo just adds a left and right for a total of 3 heat exchangers.
Ahhhh ic

Interesting, I spoke with Sam @ Z1 today, and he said that the heat exchanger part number is the same for a regular Z. So who knows.

The Nismo has 2 turbo heat exchangers not 3. It has the large one in the center same as the regular Z model and a small one on the passenger side. The small one on the driver side is an auxiliary radiator for the engine coolant, it has a set of small coolant hoses coming from the main radiator to that small one that a standard Z doesn't have. So 2 turbo heat exchangers and 2 engine radiators.

Weird. Nissan parts shows a left and right auxiliary radiator that says “charge air cooling” bad label maybe ?

Yeah, must definitely be mislabeled. The hose circled in red is not on the standard Z model, it comes directly off the top of the engine radiator and goes to the driver side small radiator then tees back into the lower rad hose. The charge air cooler circuit is completely separate, they do not intermix coolant. Also the Nismo has 2 charge air cooler pumps, not sure if the standard Z has 1 or 2 pumps.

Finally, some visual clarification. NIsmo does infact come with 2 Heat exchangers and 2 Radiators. Now I wish I waited a year to get the Nismo Z for 80K AUD...

Perhaps these auxiliary heat exchanger/radiators can be added to non-Nismo z? Although the front bumper doesn’t have the opening in it for these side mounted coolers.

Yeah, i'm looking into that possible option... If thats the case, the front bumper will have to be upgraded as well to accommodate the flow of air. Maybe if some one did a inspired 370z amuse front bumper for the new Z. Other option would be to get a nismo bumper, but whats the point, could've just got the nismo Z
