As to the drag race, dosent bother me for a few reasons. One they admitted the tires were not good compared to the other cars and that a change in the tire could make quite a large difference. I’m guess the other two cars have also already been tuned etc…where as the Z is out of the box
Secondly how many of us here are actually gonna track it,
I'd also like to point out 1 key detail, the GTR is the speed machine, the Z was the dance partner, remember?

It wasn't about blistering times, it was about the drive. I'm sure it could dig up the exact quote from the brains behind both the GTR and the Z - Tamura. But this crowd here know already what I'm talking about. It was never meant to blow the doors off of other cars - that was the GTRs job.

I think we ought not lose sight of the vision of the Zs creator. But of course we're all only alive for so long and owe it to ourselves to do what makes each of us happy in that time.

Agree with yourself and @jezzza .
it wasn't supposed to be the fastest…the reviews have been brilliant
I’m really excited now, but it is each individuals choice

I just hope that people look at the cars fairly and make their decision on that, don’t base it on the fact the Z always use to be much cheaper and now because it is now only cheaper ( instead of much) be so in shock that they don’t take all factors into account.

Basically I can’t wait, it will make me happy and that’s why I’ll buy it.
Now how long will we have to wait…that’s a question I’d really like answered

Yeah, the wait, that is the question. Any guesses as to when that might be ?

Being a fairly casual kind of gamer even I am aware of the superconductor shortages impacting availability in PS5s and other consumer electronics. Not to mention the shipping congestion around shanghai etc. I think it'll be a goodly while yet unfortunately.

I think at this stage it’s anyones guess.
I mean Nissan Aus still hasn’t moved away from the “mid year” status…mid year to me May, June, July and August.
The fact we are seeing mass production happening and on trucks, even if it is for the US or Canada is filling me with hope that it will be on this timeline, but my head tells me …could be a little longer
I really need it in July, my youngest gets his license and the Hyundai I20 will be his, which leaves me carless…unless he fails, then I may have a month or so leeway ??
Regardless when it’s this close I will wait, we will just have to share for a while which he is willing to do luckily for me

Reviews look great, plenty fast enough. Looks like it’ll be really fun to drive, can’t wait to see one in the flesh!

@West Aussie Kudos for making our own thread ?, next one can it be for coffee and car meetup with all the Z’s?. Once the initial hype wears off Will put on some Continental shoes and coil over that’ll do for me

Yep..and to be honest this is what’s annoying me a bit about those whinging about the price.
Before it came out they said Savage Geese was the main revue they wanted, that they are honest and can be as their name suggests savage.
Those guys loved this car, and said it was totally worth the money. They also made the point that connectivity with driver was key, and I think this is what a lot of guys are nit getting. It’s not about being fastes, but about being the most enjoyable.

Now that Savage Geese have come out and given their blessing, it’s like they are all trying to ignore the review and instead focus on the one average one ….. If these guys (the ones that everyone said were the best reviewers ) say it’s worth the money, why do they now all if a sudden nit believe them?

The car itself is bang on, the car isn't the issue.....it's the price

For 50k we just have more options here that a motorswapped 370Z just can't offer a better value against and certainly have more "cred" or "style".......and for another 10k you can go get in line for a Mid Engine car that's just as reliable with 100 more hp and a true DCT and tons more features even in base trim.......and it happens to be the hottest car on the planet right now

Do you mean this Savage Geese video?

I appreciate those guys and the video quality, but it plays in part like a Nissan marketing video. (Which is alluded to in the comments.)

It's a nice video and they provide good info, but you'll want to consider the perspectives.
Really, because before it was released it was the review that everyone wanted to see the most…that everyone said would be the most honest, because that is what they are known for.
Now the price is released all of a sudden they are not so honest?
