@Ballast Scorcher
Thanks mate 👍 she's a bewdy.
I agree; I simply can't get my head around this roll-out. On a positive note, I can't wait to see you all in your Z's (Brisbane fam, keep me in the loop for meets- if you'll still have me along lol) and I do still look forward to getting into my...
So, I pulled the pin on my order and went a different route 😏😉 I'll be in a Z in the future, so will continue lurking lol.
QLD members- I'm now selling my personalised plates. HMU if you're interested!
I'll admit, probably like a lot of us- I've looked at every other option under the sun and it all pales in comparison.
I'm not bailing yet, although an update from Nissan Aus would be nice!
@West Aussie, I know you're still checking in on the thread. It's not the same, logging on without seeing...
Anybody else wondering if the delay on the manuals is due to the reported '2nd gear grind' issue? Remember when Nissan's engineers were celebrating the 'improvements' made to 1st/2nd gear syncros?
If that's the case, and they are rectifying before they release it- I'm kinda glad. I'd rather the...
My understanding is that modifying the vehicle does not outright void the warranty- however, if you have a failure that can be reasonably attributed to something you've modified, the repair claim can be refused.
Ie, you fit aftermarket suspension, lowering the vehicle from factory ride height...
Best thing to do is refer to your owners manual, you'd be surprised the amount of info in there 😉
I'm living vicariously through your posts LOL. Feel free to keep writing about it!
Most Japanese vehicles made for the Australian market have one reverse light, with the other being a rear fog light.
Enjoying reading about your experience so far :) thanks for sharing!
I originally bought JDM plates to fit the rear bar of my 300ZX- it's a Japanese grey import so has a narrow rear plate recess. Fitting normal QLD plates requires either bending or cutting the ends of the plates 😅 so JDM plates were an easy choice.
Like you, I think the front looks great in...
I've got QLD JDM plates.
I'll either remove or modify the chunky front plate mount. Offset isn't really my thing- just be sure before you drill anything that it won't interfere with the front proximity sensors.
I have my Z32 ceramic coated and tinted (20% front / 5% rear), and plan on the same for the new Z.
I hear what you're saying about difficulty when repainting, but honestly- it looks brand new after driving in rain, and blows the dust right off the bonnet on the highway.
