@West Aussie for a 2 seater the sound system is good and I can assure you it’s heaps better than Supra’s.

I test drove one and it sounded pretty bad if I’m honest…however it could have been simply down to no one tuning it, or fiddling with the base etc
So it’s good to hear that you think it’s ok

Not sure but my quick fix was to cut away the excess bit of the mount with a multi tool so it can't be seen. I'd be interested in mounting directly to the grill if you figure it out.

Ok. So I pulled the front plate and bracket off. Dealer did a shot job of using screws that were too long so they damaged the grill underneath (see pics). I’ve fixed for now by adding some washers behind the number plate to shorten how far the screws protrude while I wait for new standard slimline backing plates and covers. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to position the new backing plates so they cover the damage, but it will mean mounting the backing plate on the lower side so the higher edge is high enough.

By my rough measurements I’ll need spacers of 25mm to clear the point of the grill, but maybe a little longer even if the part that they will screw into is verticals vs angles like the front of grill (I should have checked that).

If that doesn’t work I guess I’ll cut the flimsy bracket down.

I think it sounds better certainly than I had expected it to given various comments. Just needed a little bass / treble eq adjustment. It’s not as good as my Audi but it’s good enough.

The issue in WA is that we can’t get our private plates without handing in the old plates…the issue with that is unless you are patient and the dealer is happy to keep the car, you have to have the plates to drive home so that you can then take them off to take them in and swap them.
It’s all arse about, I have no idea why you can not order plates when you order your car and then the extra is just added at the time of sale with the normal registration.
Save on plates, save on time, save on trauma

Both cars are different and both for sale, unfortunately only can afford to keep 1.

So I went for a first real drive today. Can’t wait for the broken hand to fully heal. Didn’t hit it hard at all - still <100km. These cars attract a bit more attention than I expected. People driving past where it is parked and turning around for another look. Kids on phones videoing as you drive past.

First impressions are very positive.
