well would you you not just put a diffrent paint in and know you will sell more.

and really I like it, every time I come across some of my fav cars with new paint I grab them.
(then normally hand off to my Neice and nephews.)

Just had another call from my dealer

the gist
  • Nissan Australia are finalising calls to customers for the Protos
    • (I guess they had to give everyone their 5 days to decide and then make second round offers and wait etc)
  • Nissan Australia are likely to begin contacting Coupe customers soon after. I should expect a call from Nissan Australia in the next week or 2
  • I'm second on their list
  • they don't know if Protos will land first
  • they don't know if they'll get a demo prior
  • they've heard rumours cars are on their way, but nothing certain
I pumped them for info, but they don't have anything to offer :(

Sounding hopeful, but I try not to get my hopes up anymore, because it usually comes crashing down a few days later.
It’s a roller coaster ride that’s for sure

I understand successful Proto customers have received allocation confirmation calls (with no timeframe) but what are us Coupe customers expecting?

i just sent an email to Wheels magazine asking if they had any information regarding a road test of the Z, as they had been quite since the price announcement.
Hi All
Got a reply from Wheels, they hope to be testing the Z in late August and cannot release results until embargo lifted on 1st September

3½ months after the American embargo? That’s certainly not mid year.

Why are we being told that the launch is imminent?

So the big question would be would Nissan let cars out prior to the embago,

Magazines would hate that as bloggers would beat them to the punch

Or did Wheels just give away the launch date of the car.
I'm guessing the answer is not one everyone here wants to hear.

No it would never happen.
If cars became available and were released earlier, the embargo would be lifted.

Oh maybe. I could live with that. At least it draws a line in the sand and gives us something to look forward to.

If Wheels is correct in their information, can't see anyone getting a car before 1st Sep.

This is absolute bullđź’©
There is no way we are seeing cars before September, meaning that it is
A… not July
B…not even mid year
C…that Nissan Aus is very aware of when the car will be available, and is deliberately misleading clients.

Not on

P.S good of wheels to reply though, actually surprised they did

What's bet it's a Aug 31 launch date as technically "mid year" with media out on the 1st.
