Man this one hits home..sad to see

Emelia Hartford is using a GTR NISMO as a donor car for a Z Drag build. She mentions the GTR NISMO was a Nissan press car. that GTR NISMO was not only a press car but I think used in a movie too maybe as ive seen it pop up online a few times. Its a bit of a Frankenstein NISMO from what I can tell. It has the 2015/16 front end like mine but the interior wheels brakes exhaust and fenders are from the 2020+ and it has the fog light rear diffuser the US spec didnt come with.

Ripping the engine out that car makes me feel ill. up until last year there were like 7 red NISMOs total brought to the US. Now that we know there will be no more GTR NISMOs I wish another GTR would have been used. To me there is no engine swapped Z build that will ever be as special as an original GTR NISMO are only gonna be a little over 300 ever brought into the US now that its all said and done

Thoughts? Im wondering if this GTR NISMO has a history to it as a stunt car or something where it cant be sold or registered? maybe that would explain it . Even so im wondering if this GTR NISMO could have remained in tact somehow

Youtubers get what youtubers want. Im sure she'll sell it off in 2 months once the views die down. Its the same bullshit recipe on most car channels now days.

Agree with the general consensus. There are not enough of these cars around to tear one up! However, at the same it if I bought it and wanted to modify it, it's my money so who's to tell me what to do?

If I were ever lucky enough to acquire a Skyline of any model year, it would be straight restoration for me. Then again, I'm a fan of stock cars. I feel like the designers at the factory typically know what they are doing when it comes to cars even if I have a design background myself.

I'm pretty disappointed with Nissan for doing this. If there is a good reason behind it I guess it makes a little more sense. I just don't understand why they didn't get a donor motor instead.

Can someone tell me why Nissan does not participate in NASCAR? It seems Toyota has been left alone in a unique American Autosport.

My thoughts are that I want a VR38 in my Z  . It is a bummer that a special car like this is being torn down but there is a good chance that it was set to not survive anyway. From what I understand, there are a lot of vehicles that end up getting the crusher... I don't really understand why this would be a practice of any kind.
