Got the exhaust yesterday, went straight ahead to the auto shop today. Throughout the installation, apart from adjusting the piping next to the right side of the transmission under shroud (space is a bit tight), everything went well. While driving, rev speed went down pretty slow from 2500 to 1000. Minor smoke were coming out from the rear probably cause of water and lube used during installation, later disappeared. Sound clip at the end.

Yeah I saw your reply, I am glad we all had it done nicely!
I was out last night on an open stretch of road and opened-up the throttle for some runs to check it out. Sounds sweet to my ears, especially with the windows down. :)

I think what looks like a crossover (closest to the muffler) is a bracket. Would like someone who knows to confirm/deny that though.

I'm not knocking NISMO or that system in the slightest. It's T304, so it's high-quality stainless. It's a great system that does what it's supposed to do and will last. The tips look great. I've always liked that thick tapered look inside over just a cute cut pipe end. That said, I'm surprised at the fit/finish of the muffler itself. Not saying they should polish it or anything, but I feel like they could take a little time to clean up some of the little machining/bending marks, scrapes, imperfections.

I love my Nismo exhaust -- I was in a parking garage last night and it sounded awesome.
One quick question - does anyone know what that sort-of "wheezing" sound on the down-revs is? You can sort-of hear it in the above video, but I notice it on mine too.

Faintly sounds like the turbos spooling down (technical term?) to me; will get much more audible as you delete cats.

I believe the wheeze sound you're referring to is sound of the turbo spooling down. Typically more noticeable with a more free-flowing (open?) exhaust.

I passed under an overpass this morning, accelerating at “a nice rate,” and, to my ears, it sounded like a was in a Lambo. ;)

We basically said the same thing at the same time, so I assume we're both right!

Maybe "unspooling" "despooling" - I've always said "spooling up" so the opposite is "spooling down," right?
BUT...the opposite of "suit up" is "get naked" so my thought process on spooling could be flawed.

2-for-2, we'll go with it!

What diameter is the tubing compared to the stock?
