I can tell it's going to be right here below the lock button on the synthetic suede, where my left knee sits while cruising. I can already see it. 3,333 miles on the car.

Where are you seeing interior wear?

I've taken to not wearing my work boots when driving as the carpet around the clutch pedal is showing signs of wear.

All over. It’s a very cheap quality interior for the price of the car. The fabric in the Sport is shameful. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet. I would normally ditch the car, but I’m looking for options to avoid that.

I kick or drag my foot across the plastic door sill (Inside of the lit Z panels)
Yes, on the door near the speakers is where I'm seeing wear lines. I doubt it will wear that much since it's a hard plastic material.

It feels like the arm rest / cup holder cover will wear down or start to peel/flake away. I always find my elbow resting on there.

I haven't noticed anything with the floor mats because I have rubber ones.

Maybe a wear point on the seat edges from climbing into the car without any grace.... I expect to see cracked leather just like on every BMW.

My manual gear stick knob is being replaced under warranty as it was chipping and peeling already and have seen it many times on other new Z’s, I don’t have rings.

yea, I've seen the shift knob in MT cars deteriorate and wear pretty fast with many other people. So I've started to shift from the shift boot/hard plastic trim below the shift knob.

Driver door left bolster will show wear eventually. I've thought to slide the seat all the way back each time getting out and move it forward when seated. It would have been nice to have an automatically retracting seat when the car starts like some luxury cars (Lexus/Infiniti)

Door panel armrest and plastic up near the window.

I have a light scratch in my center console from a water bottle. Indeed it's just a Nissan.

....and this is just the interior.... I'm curious to see what headlights and hood/roof paint condition will look like in 2 years for cars kept outdoors.

The bottom of my steering wheel is scratched to hell from getting in and out of the car with a pocket knife clipped inside my right pocket. Truly a fragile piece of leather.

My knee hits the little wall where the center console charging ports / little cubby hole are all the time. It appears to be leather there but I noticed the other day it's got marks all over it.

Also the lower part of the door panels are marked up pretty good from my shoes hitting it. My Z has the guards there though so I don't care thats getting marked up.

Tall guy in a little car problems :) good thing it is comfortable.

I knew the micro suede interior bits were going to be a dirt magnet from other cars I've owned. I'm also not a fan of shiny leather parts. I bought a pair of driving gloves and use them while driving. It keeps the wear down on the steering wheel and shift knob, and helps to keep the matte finish. I had the factory leather Recaros in my Mustang and learned that moving the seat all the way back for getting in and out kept my steering wheel, door cards, and seat bolster wear and scuffing down. I now do the same in my Z.

I place a Velcro cloth on/near the wear areas and it works well. Especially if a contrast color.
