If you still have this problem, like I did... also I was always seeing distracting reflections of trees and such driving by.. I got one of these and solved the issue. I think they have a few different finish options but they come precut to fit very well. The set I got comes with covers for the dials and main dash screen also, but i only used the ones on the infotainment screen and buttons in a matte finish and it looks soooo much better with very little glare or reflections
i'm sure there are other similar ones, but I will say this one came with a nice all-you-need-except-water kit, quality seemed good to me (not overly thin), written instructions, very easy to do. To my novice eye they haven't blurred the screen. They haven't lived through one of my brutally hot humid summers yet though; jury may be out to see if they survive w/o blistering or such!

Can you show any after photos? I only really get the glare at certain times of the day, but it is highly annoying. I did order and will try to capture a before/after.
I appreciate the link and any follow-up to the forum!

I didn't see the posts about the XPel above before posting my reply. Mine looks pretty much the same as that matte look, except I also got covers for each of the small rectangle buttons along the bottom which I thought was a nice touch since they are fairly shiny also. I'll try to remember to get a pic tomorrow in daylight.

Whether you do this one or similar, make sure first to CLEAN VERY WELL and get all the hairs and dust completely gone from the screen itself and all surrounding trim!! I did a pretty good job with that but a single tiny random hair got trapped near the top left I didn't see until the next day... not enough to hardly notice but since i know it's there i sometimes can't help but see it. Maybe easy to mist it and get out? It's about an inch in from the side so i don't want to try and pick and peel it up. Not sure, I think once you install and it dries it's a light adhesive. I probably should look into what I should occasionally wipe it with so it doesn't dry and crack like PPF. Probably inevitable but in the meantime I'm really pleased with how it fixed the glare and reflections.

Edit: here are some pics. I accidentally let it dry while slightly misaligned: should be just a smidge lower and to the left, and there would hardly be any gap around the buttons. Most important to me though was covering up that bend in the surface along the bottom since it was always catching a glare or reflection at some point along that curved shiny surface. You can see that one tiny hair bubble near the top left

I have a TON of microfiber clothes that I use on the car and many new ones ready to go.
I had the car ceramic coated and only need a water spray bottle and a microfiber cloth to clean the exterior in ~10-15 mins.
I have barely passed 5k miles, so the interior is still dealership clean, but I will do as you suggest and wipe everything down.
Again, thanks for your post!

@FlagonFly another question ... after seeing the pics, did you have to remove the volume/tune knobs? If so, how to do?

Yes, but they are very easy to pry off. Gently pry with a plastic trim tool and they come right off. Or if you can get a firm grip around a knob, wedge your fingertips gently around under the knob edge as you pull straight out. They are not glued. Then once the screen is on you just push them back on.

The glare from this poorly designed media center area is downright brutal at times. Even sunglasses can't temper the distraction.

I feel your pain, I am in the desert southwest ... more than 300 days a year of clear skies.

After getting my windows tinted and a darker glare strip on the windshield I do not really notice much glare off the radio, and this is in Florida.

That looks great, and appears to minimize, maybe even eliminate the horrific glare issue these poorly designed infotainment centers cause. Thanks for the photos and the source link. I'll definitely be ordering a kit.

Does the anti-glare kit you installed also resist fingerprints? My OCD goes haywire over such nuisances.

Yes, it also prevents fingerprints well. I wasn’t even thinking about that when I got it but I hate smudgy screens!

What is this darker glare strip on the windshield?

Finally got that nasty glare and fingerprints issues SOLVED! Both the media display and every media button is treated with matte PPF. All is right with the world now. Thanks to everyone in this thread topic who contributed to solutions for this. Appreciated.

BTW, the funny/irritating thing about this 'glaring' issue is that Nissan evidently not only understands it, they already designed for it when it comes to the main instrument display behind steering wheel as it has a matte/non-glare finish direct from factory. Why they ignored this issue when it comes to the media display is baffling as it's the worst culprit on the entire dash area.

I like to wear polarized Ray Ban sunglasses when driving. I've had a few rental cars that have this issue and good quality polarized sunglasses help.
I'm not usually a fancy sunglasses kinda guy, but cheaper "polarized" sunglasses are nowhere near as effective as Ray Bans.

Also helps when driving behind certain vehicles like a pickup truck where the sun catches the chrome on the tailgate or camper shell glass just right.....
