How would a hub dyno give crank power? You're still at the back of the car and the power comes through the drivetrain at the front.
My experience is with a dynopack - they always read nearly crank HP even for rear drive cars - why no idea - i can only speculate- no wheel/tire in the equation? Here is a stock s2k that put down ~235hp on a dynopack. These cars will make ~200hp (maybe) on a dynojet. FYI a 2006+ S2k is 239hp.

"Maybe" is right! My AP1 only put down 197whp on MAP's DynoJet with intake, testpipe, & catback.

My ap2 put down 220 on a dynojet w/ flash pro, injen cai, jvt header, berk 3” header back exhaust & lots street pulls to perfect the a/f ratio. In the dyno graph you can see i lowered the low to high cam switch from 6 to 4K - aka vetc - lol….

talking about a flat torque curve out to redline…

Going down next week to get my stock 24' dyno'd to get a baseline to see what I'm working with. Anyone else done the same that can share results? My old school train of thought is there's like a 15% drivetrain loss (so say 350hp), but I'm seeing a lot of 370-380, just not sure how true all that is.
The stock numbers of 400bhp on paper is not accurate. Its always lower than what the real power is. Its been that way for decades

Once you find a shop to do your Dyno run, stick with them when you start your FBO quest. Goes with using the same tuner for tuning.

The Tuners, at least most do not use SAE. They use standard. Standard shows higher numbers. You want to see SAE numbers. It's a simple flip of a switch to change over.
mustangs do give higher results.
find a dyno operator that will use SAE and stick with the same dyno.
as long as the operator is not trying to show how good their numbers are you should have no problem.
one last thing I have noticed over the years is if the sheets do not show they were corrected in SAE it means they were reported in standard. I have asked many of the Nissan tuners to show their numbers and they never will do. I stay away from them.
if they claim differently, listen for the squirms😩😩😩😩

Not true on most. Mustang Dynos don't aways just read higher, I have seen a lot read lower. It all depends on the operator and how they set up and calibrate the machine.

Dynojets can be very accurate from one dyno to the next if taken care of, you mostly just need to keep up on them as the pretty much calibrate themselves. I have had a few cars that dyno'd in California, Nevada and Arizona on Dynojets that gave me consistent numbers.

SAE and Standard numbers only matter to those online the most. It does't matter one way or the other cause you can simply change a setting in the Dynojet viewer. If you are stating that companies will show one graph SAE and the other in STD to show a higher number then I agree those are companies/parts you should avoid. But if they are using the same STD or SAE for both it does not matter.

It is best to stick with the same dyno if you are looking to compare numbers. For tuning as long as the tuner knows what he is doing he can use whatever method is best.

Nope. Bone stock. Wanted to see what I’m starting with. Threw intakes on the next day! I know not much gained without a tune there, but man the B6A shorties sound sick!
Very impressive curves for stock! Can't wait to see how she responds to mods.
