Dec '22 Proto hood paint damage

FYI, Nissan is working on a warranty claim on my hood damaging the plastic panels behind it. The metal hood touches on both sides when opening. Might be worth keeping an eye out on yours as well.

A paint shop is quoting tomorrow and they plan to lower the plastic panels to allow clearance.

Car is a manual Proto, built 12th Dec 2022, Australian release.

You should ask them to delete the hood ‘poppers’ while they’re at it

Seriously…the length of time they took to get this car out and they are still having issues. I get possible technical problems but this is basic stuff.

Speaking of Stone Damage! Already have damage on one of my head light lens. Ugh! A deep scrape! Anyone have any ideas on how to smooth it out?

I just checked mine in the garage and popped the hood. It doesn't pivot there it actually comes up and over that corner with around a 1/4 inch of clearance

I assume its just the hinge bracket

Found the problem you all need to be looking out for. The hood is indeed misaligned. Look at the gap between left and right side

Set off the hood poppers!
Won't rub anymore!
