Dealer scratched my car

I thought so, but comparing an old one from my 370Z, it is not an Identical part. The bottom has a different slope on the Z.

Here’s what my research turned up:

OEM 370Z B-Pillar Finishers
Part #:
76891-1EA0A Driver (LH)
76890-1EA0A Passenger (RH)
Fits models: 370Z (all)

OEM Z B-Pillar Finishers
Part #:
76891-6GP0A - Driver (LH)
76890-6GP0A - Passenger (RH)
Fits models: Z ‘23+

From the sounds of it, 370Z share the same B-pillar with the Z?
Nope. Different at the bottom edge. Look the same, but 370Z one doesn’t fit on ‘23+ Z.

Let the dealer replace it, not fix it.

Yes, and they say they will. I’m concerned their plan is to polish it, which I don’t believe will work. If they don’t want to replace it, I’ll just have a body shop do it and when I have to go back to the dealer remind them they damaged my car and to not do it again or the damage is on them. We’ll see on Monday when I can return their voicemail.
Hopefully it all works out. Keep us updated.

That is unacceptable. Accidents happen but come on. Nissan corporate called me about the front bumper harness recall asking when I wanted to come in to have it done. I told them when I feel like it. My friend took his Z in for service and they joy rode it! Unbelievable.

My Car will never be serviced at a dealership. No underpaid fresh out of Tech school techs joy riding and scratching my ride. Service at a reputable grey bearded 45+ mom and pops auto shop who has established years of training and reputable customer service

So true. I have a local Nissan indy shop that I trust, plus can see their work and install exact parts I need and know personally the techs there. You just don't know what's going on behind dealer service walls! Still, most small indy shops don't report services to for example Carfax, so keep all hardcopy receipts in a folder, will really help on resale later.

I do go to a Nissan dealer in Nashua New Hampshire. I bought a 2009 370Z there and had it serviced by one mechanic (Paul). He installed upgrades and replacement parts for me. I had Z1 install twin Turbos etc and the mechanic now owns the car. He is the only one who now works on my new 2024 Z Performance and has installed all the NISMO upgrades. I cannot vouch for any other NISSAN dealership.

I don't like dealers. FIrst oil change on my 350z back in the days. Good thing I caught it before driving off.

Miata had a huge door scratch while they changed the soft-top. I have many more horrible stories.

No more free or paid oil changes for me. I do my own maintenace now unless its major recall from the manufacturers.

Yes, lucky to have him. His son works there and his daughter in law.
