Kind of surprised AMS hasn't released a CAI yet for the Z! My question is, with other parts from the Q50 and Q60 being the same for the Z, has anyone (or anyone seen) someone test fit a Q CAI into a Z?

Other vendors have made CAIs for this platform, but just haven't officially released them yet.

Nismo

The only one I've seen on the market is Nismo. Hopefully others hit the market soon as well, these pictures look promising tho, thanks for sharing

You won’t barely see any
Gains off a CAI. However, won’t hurt. I usually go for the cost effective one

If you haven't done so already, drop in a set of dry, high-flow filters.

While you're waiting for the other intakes, you could also try test-fitting a set Burger silicone inlet tubes.

https://burgertuning.com/collections/infiniti-q50-q60/products/q50-inlets

About 5 or 6 years ago, a member on the Q50 FB Tech Talk Group posted a series of results from tests he performed on his own vehicle after modifying his intake with the Burger connectors...

...the OEM intake box with the BMS silicone elbows and drop in high flow filters performed better than stock, and better or equivalent to other aftermarket intakes.

Plus, you'd only be $150 bucks out of pocket if you wind up swapping it later for something prettier.

I've been kind of waiting to see as well. There's a few obviously for the Q platform out there. But, nothing officially released for the Z itself just yet. Only a matter of time.

The others are right, reading up on the Q, most people are saying there is actually not a whole lot of gain with aftermarket intakes on the VR30, because the stock design is actually quite good. They basically add a smoother flow, maybe a few extra horsies and some intake noise. Which wont hurt my feelings.

Still wont hurt to have a little extra aftermarket bling under the hood :D

I think that's Dustin Williams's car, if so, he got them 3 mos ago from AMS specifically for SEMA. It will be interesting to see if the windows make their way into the final production units - or whether AMS put them there to display the air filters.

I ordered both this afternoon haha, I got the carbon radiator air guide already at home. The carbon looks so good with the blue paint
Nice!
Let us know how it looks and handles in the end.

I'm so tempted to get the Z1 carbon parts for a fancy engine bay!

But I'm loving the look/reputation of both Blitz & HKS
Torn!!!

Wanted an all JDM car/parts.
But already bought MAP downpipes and catback exhaust hahahah
