You can call me a Boomer, but Bridgestone is going on my list of No-No brands with Firestone. Ever since Firestone's deadly 90's era, I won't be buying them either. I mean unless they make another brand and I just don't know it.
Haha uhaul still doesn't rent to anyone driving a Ford explorer. I had that issue a few times when I was looking for a trailer to rent for my 2006 at the time. They're like nope. It's firm in our policy that we cannot rent to anyone driving an explorer. People were going to junk yards and getting expedition badges haha

Tirerack.com is a great source for tires, etc. Both customer reviews and actual testing available. Plus, they'll drop ship to your local installer.

I second this, they've always been very good to me.

lol they sent me wider tires than what i ordered. 255 instead of 235
Unfortunate. They've been incredible to me through the years. Working with exchanges no questions asked, drop shipping to my shop, picking up old tires, etc. My order always arrives next day too. Couldnt be happier with them.

I went with Priority Tires. They seem pretty good, and they will also drop ship. Good deals too. For me in Michigan, it did take a week for FedEx to deliver, but that's alright.

At least now I know that I can only fit one tire in the trunk and one in the passenger seat. Bummer, but that's better than no tires.

Apparently I am more new to Summer tires (and all tires in general) than I thought. I didn't know that summer tires can make your car wander in the lane when the tread gets low. My front treads on the Potenza's are at 4/32 out of 8/32 and the car was wandering over the tire grooves in the lanes. -_-_- Granted, I just took the car for an alignment and they said that my front driver side wheel's camber was off. But after they adjusted it, it still does it lightly. So I guess I need new front tires now too (well I knew that already, but not for this reason).

I'm coming up on 20k. No drag or drifting. Alot of high-speed touring with hard pulls. The factory min/max alignment specs might be good enough on a nonperformance vehicle but cars like the Z need more dialing in. They pay a tech to perform a PDI on every car delivered. Unfortunately removing the plastic and running it through their car wash is about it. You can usually tell when a stealership fails to complete the PDI due to the over inflated tires. The tires are purposely over inflated for storage/transportation. My car was no different. I had an agreement with the store manager allowing me to be present when the alignment was checked. This included them taking a little extra time to center and come close to matching the numbers. They did what they could but lacked the talent to perform a precision alignment. By the way, the factory alignment sucked bad enough that I too would have scrubbed through a thousand + dollar set of tires in 5k/10K miles. So, you bring the car back to the dealership and they tell you the same BS they tell everyone else knowing your alignment was never checked. "It's a high power sports car and it looks like you've got a heavy foot". They'll be more than happy to sell you another set.
