I searched here but did not find anything specific to upgrading the existing Bose sub-woofer. In my last car with the B&O factory sub-woofer, I was able to replace the original sub-woofer with a Rockford Fosgate DVC shallow sub-woofer in the factor box, and it was vast improvement over stock with minimal installation issues. I was curious if anyone has tried to use the existing BOSE wires that plug into sub enclosure to connect to an aftermarket sub without the need of a new amplifier?? I would love to do use the sub I have and place it into an enclosure to fit the spare tire well and feed it from existing Bose system. Best part about doing that with the Mustang I traded in is that it did not impact the ANC system since it was essentially stock set up with a new driver.
