I just installed the Beat Sonic Amp. The difference in sound is night and day! The sound is crisp and now I have bass!
Install was tedious and lengthy. Lots of dash parts need to be removed. Very doable. Highly recommended!

I have the same amplifier, and I feel it improved the Bose system enough that I feel investing in any more aftermarket audio equipment would be a matter of diminishing returns and not at all worth it. Allows me to focus on more performance-oriented mods.

I saw an Install video and was wondering video why you couldn't just reach around from the rear?

Did anyone who has done the amp upgrade also have a spare tire? I read that removing the foam and replacing it with a spare improves the bass from the sub...even without the amp upgrade.

That is not true. I have a spare and the Bose sub sits right in it. Sound still sucks.

Same here I have a spare and the base is worse. I even tried putting some cotton inside the sub and worse again

I did both and, yes, it makes a difference.

I just looked up the Beat Sonic and the website says it works for Bose and non-Bose Zs.

Has anyone used this amp on a Sport Z?

I was operating under the assumption that the Sport Z didn't have an external amplifier like the Bose does.....

You are correct. The area where the Bose amp lives is empty in the Sport, looks like this:

Being compatible with both the Performance and the Sport makes no sense to me. The Sport audio is already all filtered and EQ’d to hell when it comes out of the head unit.

How much peak RMS power is the factory Z’s amp putting out. I know it could use improvement for sure
