I'm mostly stock besides a lot of suspension parts. I plan to do The usual heat exchanger, intakes and exhaust (light tune) for street driving... What oil are folks running around here? Is there a default drivers switch to for our HOT weather conditions?

I'm in Florida (it was 96 F today) and I'm running 0w20. I know Arizona is a good deal hotter so the switch might be justified, I think. I debated switching to 5w30 but read something about clearances which put me off

I just switched to 5w-30 on my second oil change at 4k miles this week (first was at 1200 after break-in)...dealership didn't give any pushback when I mentioned I wanted to switch. I do feel like my oil pressure is *slightly* higher at idle when up to temp, now the lower end is usually around 18-20psi...so far at least. With the factory fill and while running the 0w-20 I was seeing it average around 16-17psi at idle (sometimes it would dip even lower but only very briefly as it tends to constantly fluctuate) with the AC off after a 25 minute drive, and I'd read that there were some concerns that those numbers were not ideal for the VR30.

I found the same increase in oil pressure at idle when going to 5w/30, the previous lower oil pressure was very concerning. No difference in pressure though at WOT All good.

10-30. The average lowest temp Is low-mid 30’s. possible to hit teens for lows but rare.

fyi - the closer the two numbers the better.
