  2. Z NISMO discoveries

Makes sense, but on my 2023 6MT Performance Z (non-Nismo) I'm scratching my head. Tested in the rain today: Hit the dash VDC button once → First icon pops on bottom left (car + squiggly lines + "OFF"). Chose a safe wet corner, gave it some gas turning right—rears spun up straight away, car...
  3. Caring for exterior piano black parts on two tone 2024 Z’s

If that’s the case then how come I was able to buff those micro scratches out without damaging the colour?
  4. Caring for exterior piano black parts on two tone 2024 Z’s

I've had my Proto for over 2 years now. When I received it, there were lots of micro scratches on the piano black already (roof and rear hatch). I did a full iron decontamination, clayed it, then buffed it with a dual action polisher using the same Menzerna compound mentioned above by...
  5. Arizona, What Oil Weights are you running and why?

In fact, my dealer actually told me Nissan Australia has recommended its dealers to switch to 5w30 instead of 0w20 because of our climate.
  6. Anyone seen these hood risers & know how to get them down. Spun the Z on wet roads and caught back wheel on curb. These popped the hood open - can’t open or close hood

No you can’t just remove them. Your car computer will detect that they are missing or unplugged and you’ll have an error code. If you remove them you need to plug in something that fools your computer into thinking they are still there.
  7. Anyone seen these hood risers & know how to get them down. Spun the Z on wet roads and caught back wheel on curb. These popped the hood open - can’t open or close hood

Hi, these were originally made for the R35 GTR. Can you please confirm that they also work on the Nissan Z? Just about to order some but want to make sure I'm getting the right ones.
  8. Paint flaking off of front suspension member stay bracket

Can they just be taken off the car without anything else dropping down or moving. sorry I’m not exactly a car mechanic.
  9. Paint flaking off of front suspension member stay bracket

Hi, Does anyone have the same issue on their Z. Mine's a Proto from 2022. It has not hit anything, hasn't scraped on anything, but paint is just bubbling and eventually coming off of those brackets (both side). Would that be something that Nissan would cover under their warranty? [For...
  10. Lifting the Z (or any vehicle with pinch-welds)

I personally will never use method A. I'm too afraid of bending that pinch weld. I too use a Quickjack to lift the Z up, and I've gotten myself a pair of slotted rubber pad to put on top of the Quickjack provided high blocks. Here are the ones I got...
  11. Burger Motorsports JB4 performance tuner

How does the JB4 compare to others like: https://www.racechip.us/shop/nissan/z-rz34-from-2022/3-0t-2997ccm-400hp-298kw-350lb-ft.html or https://www.vividracing.com/vr-tuned-ecu-tuning-box-kit-nissan-400z-405bhp-2022-p-156130709.html
  12. 2023 Nissan Z Tyre pressure

I’m sure they do know. It’s just that on most cars manufacturers recommended pressure is generally for comfort and to give the car a cushy feel. Over inflating sometimes gives you slightly more responsive steering, less side wall deformation and some say better wear and better fuel economy.
  13. 2023 Nissan Z Tyre pressure

And when going on a race track, would you still inflate at 32/29 as per manufacturer’s recommendation or would under inflate at the start of the day. And if so by how much?
  14. Safe Jack points

Any chance of getting a link to download that service manual?
  15. Safe Jack points

Definitely don't jack up from anywhere in that A section. B is actually the designed spot just for that.
  16. Safe Jack points

On the oil subject which brand and grade do you guys swear by for this car?
  17. Safe Jack points

Thanks for the pictures and nice scissor lift. But for those who don't have the luxury of having one of these in their garage, I was more referring to those floor hydraulic jacks like this one and a photo from underneath the car of where to place one of these to lift the whole front from the...
  18. Safe Jack points

Yes I did post there before but didn't get any replies until I created this new thread. Apologies for doubling up.
  19. Safe Jack points

Hi Does anybody have a picture with exact location of possible jack points for the 2023 Z. I’d like to lift the front with a workshop hydrolic jack but noticed that on the new Z the engine cradle seems to be made of aluminum which doesn’t seem safe to lift from
  20. 2023 Nissan Z Tyre pressure

And do you find the car slides more easily around corner or not?
