Is the automatic gear shifter is from Infiniti?

I’m sure most of the car is from the Nissan/Infiniti parts bin. That’s what’s gonna keep a lot of the cost down

That shifter was first previewed in the new 9AT Pathfinder, the Infiniti came later.
Seems to be the corporate shifter they are going with.

Hey hey hey…again, as a female I am highly offended.
I’m fighting my husband to get on board with this one, it will be my car…and yes it will be a manual.
But as we have already determined us Aussies are pretty tough. Girls out here would eat you guys for breakfast ?

i voted manual...all my sports cars/trucks have been manual except my turbo mklll.
i'm curious however about this new auto trans going in the new z and having the use of paddle shifters.
ive never driven a car with one. any insites or opinions on that?
i may have to check it out...it could be fun.

I have test driven a Miata with paddle shifters…I think it’s something you would have to get use to just like anything else.
I’m getting old, I’ll stick to what I know and like

Healthy and tuned, I fully expect my N54 will eat a stock Z's lunch, but I can't wait to own both and find out. Stock for stock I'm thinking the Z takes it hands down.

My wife can drive a manual better than a lot of people I know can.
Love to hear it! I was pretty much forced into learning at age 15 and now have 22+ years experience driving a manual practically every single day since. The only car I've ever owned with 2 pedals is my girl's current one, which is soon to be replaced with one with 3. If I can teach her to row gears better than me then that's a win in my book.
