I'm starting to regret modding the car. Starting to think I should deregister the car and just make it a dedicated track car and tow it to the track. I made it stiff for the track and driving it locally just doesn't make sense anymore especially with all the "safe streets" initiatives happening (thanks to the takeover and street race culture). Pretty soon my county will get speed cameras everywhere no doubt.

This is was one of the reasons I got the Z over the Supra. People complain about the soft suspension, but it's deeply preferred if you are daily driving, and the Supra felt like it was too track focused to be a good daily driver. That, and I still can't believe how bad the cabin visibility is in that car.. Most reviewers just glossed over it, but holy shit when I test drove did I get anxiety.

Can't see past the hood, can't see out the sides, barely a porthole out the back. Supra visibility is an absolute disaster.

Just reversing out of a parking lot of mall is an blind man's nightmare in that supra.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and 94 octane and a catback straight pipe exhaust is all I need to feel good stock.

I learned to drive the Z hard quick and thus had to stiffen it, plus I already wanted to track it so it made sense. The regret subsided, it was a momentary thing...😅

Am I the only one that has fun with these tires?
You mean the S007s?

I guess you could say they were fun in a slip-and-slide sort of way. You have to hold back, actually, from what the Z is really capable of, lest the S007s break loose.

The car is more fun, IMO, when it doesn't break loose. All that power and torque is delivered to the pavement.

Yeah that's what I mean, a little slip then feeling the car grab is fun for me. I'm weird. I like feeling it spin a little in each gear during launch control. Admittedly I wlll be switching to Continentals once the S007's wear out.

Yeah, I let me S007s wear out, roo (well, just the rears actually). Share your experience with the Continentals when you get them. Maybe I'll try those next set.
